Hi Jayme: Liz is right. This book doesn't fit the task requirements. "Monster" isn't an adjective, and it's not one of the approved words for Part B.
I can't add the points you'd included for this book to your score.

Hi Cheryl: This doesn't look like a compilation of non-fiction stories to me. I'm disallowing the Combo points for this task. If these are non-fiction stories, please post a new message stating that and I'll adjust the score.

Liz is right, you can only claim Series Style points once for each series used in the same task. I'm deducting the Series points from Catching Fire. But on a positive note, Suzanne Collins has a Fall birthday! So I've added 5 Combo points for each of these books.
Your Grand Total is back to 290!

Hi Cheryl: I have some good news and some bad news.
Good News:
Task 10.4
Donut Days by Lara Zeilin Lexile Not Available
+10 Task
Task Total 10
While looking up Lara Zeilin in Goodreads, I noticed that she has a November birthday, so this book qualifies for Combo points with Task 10.3
+5 Combo (10.3, Fall Birtdays)
Adjusted Task Total = 15

Bad News:
Heat Wave by RIchard Castle
Task Total 10
This is not Richard Castle's only published work. "Naked Heat" was published in September, 2010. So this doesn't fit for this task. The only way "Heat Wave" would qualify is if you read it in early September before the 2nd book in the series was published.
I'm going to disallow the points claimed for this book. If you did read it before the 2nd book was published, post it again in a new message with a note to that affect so I am sure to see it when I tally the scores next.
Adjusted Grand Total 235

Liz responded:
For finishing RtT as a constant traveler, you would receive a total of 10 points per task (150 points) +10 style points for books 2-10 (90 points) plus a "well-traveled" bonus of 100 points, for a total of 340 points.
However, the books must be read in chronological order (starting in 1500-50 going forwards or in 1950-2000 & going backwards). Maybe you can edit your post with the dates you read the books? ..."
---------------------------------------
Hi Cheryl:
Welcome to the RwS Challenge!
Liz is correct. For the RtT books posted in message #545, I'll need to know the order that you read the books in to be able to score them correctly. Were you a Constant Traveller, or a Time Leaper?
In addition to the bonus that you get for completing all 10 time periods, you get individaul points for each book read in the series, and those points vary based on whether you read the books in chronological order (newest to oldest, or oldest to newest) or read them in random order.
Chronological Order = Constant Traveller
Random Order = Time Leaper
I'll hold off scoring the books from message #545 until you provide the order the books were read in.
Thanks! -Krista

I'm going to have to disallow the use of this book for Task 20.6.

I think that's Task 20.1 Part B, Vampire."
LOL --- Oh this group is just so clever. I'm glad I can be a part of it! :-)

Hi Krista - I did an edit of the post to include the title (not sure how I missed that the first time, lol). Does that work? Or should I do a whole new post? Message 502. Thanks! You're doing a fantastic job!
..."
Hi Allie: No, you don't need to edit anything further. I did see that you'd added the book title to message #502. I haven't added points for that message to the point tally yet so we're all good.
Thanks for the compliment. Sometimes it's hard to know if folks feel like I'm being a royal pain in the neck with all the picky questions. So it was nice to get your feedback. Cheers! -Krista

Oops, my goof! Yes, if the books are from different series then, you can use them for the same task and claim Series points for both. Sorry, I thought they were from the same series.
I'll add the 15 Series point back in when tallying up the next round of messages. Sorry about all the confusion on this one. I think we have it straight now. Whew!

Hi Karen: I'm so glad you could find another task to use this book for. Plus it's a 20 point task. Good going!
Now for the not so good news. You've already used the first book in this series (Radiance) for Task 20.1, so you won't be able to claim the Series points for "Dark Flame" since it's also being used for Task 20.1.

------- Update to points posted in MSG 463 ----
Karen, after reviewing the books read for Task 10.2, I see that you've already read one book by Alyson Noel for this task. I'm going to have to deduct the points originally posted for the following book in Msg 463:
10.2 Literature Map: Dark Flame by Alyson Noel
+10 Task
+0 Series (Already Claimed for this Task)
10 Points
After these 10 points were deducted,
Adjusted Grand Total = 310
Please post a new message if you can find another task that Dark Flame will work for. Thanks, Krista

I thought we could only use an author once for 10.2? Or can we use them once for task points and once for combo points?

I hadn't really thought of that angle. Yes, unless there are strong objections then I'll allow an author on your Literature Map to be used once for the Task 10.2, and once as a Combo point task. (Similar the rules for Task 20.7)

Hi Coralie:
I think you meant to use this for Task 15.4. (It's probably just a typo in your message post since you've done Task 15.3, and the publication year fits in 15.4.) I've marked this book down for Task 15.4.
