Oh my gosh and that was my LEAST FAVORITE. Yikes...

I hope so. Karen reviewed it too and I think she liked it, right Karen?

Good to know!!! I'm gonna listen to the full cast audio version of American Gods for the December BOM.

I want to read that but I'm still on the fence about whether or not I'm a Neil Gaiman fan.

1. Read a book with an adverb in the title -- Fully Engaged (Erin)
2. Read a book written in third person narration -- Born to be Wilde (Megan L)
NEW GOAL
Read a book with a door or gate on the cover

Author Eve Gaddy
Date finished 11/27/2015
Page Count: 296
Goals Met: Adverb in title"

21. We have gotten a report on the audio version, but to those reading the book, how are you finding reading so many POVs? Do you feel the book is flowing well, or do you find it disjointed and hard to follow?
I feel a little bad for bashing the audiobook in a fit of passion and rage hahaha It's actually not that bad and I've gotten more used to the full cast narration. I simply had to accept that this was not a book that I could multi-task with. I can't listen and take the subway or grocery shop. I have to sit in bed and listen to it.
22. I am having an issue with the ages of the characters (I find them inevitably at least 18 in my head). It seems like the author has written a LOT of backstory and responsibility for a group of characters all under the age of 18. Is this a situation where the ages are dictated by the "YA" category, or do you think the author made the characters this young for a purpose?
I keep forgetting this is YA. I keep imagining these characters as late 20's. That being said, I agree with many people who have said that these characters seem more mature because of their backstories, but you can still see their age in the emotional immaturity.
23. The group has entered the prison. Do you think they will be successful in their mission? Do you think Bo Yul-Bayour is in the prison? Or do you think the whole job is a wild goose chase?
I do not think Bayour is in the prison. I think this is a mission that might be drawn out for three books, but I'm probably wrong.
24. We find out two interesting tidbits about Jesper in his chapter. Did you find either one of these surprising? Do you think either will play a part in the story, or is it just to help us better understand his character?
I knew (view spoiler) from the start. I don't know how I knew, but I had a feeling. As for (view spoiler) I had NO IDEA. I think Jesper is much more private than anyone realizes and masks his reality behind his humor.
25. We finally find out the rest of Kaz's backstory and why he wears the gloves. At the end of the section, Kaz has completely gone off mission and has Pekka right where he wants him. Do you think he will kill him? And how do you think the rest of the group will react when they find out what he is really doing?
I don't think he will kill Pekka. Something will go wrong. I think the group is going to be PIIIIISSED and lose what little trust they ever had in him. Inej will probably be the only one in his corner and even that is wearing thin.

Thank goodness...that adverb goal is killing me...

Girls who pretend to be boys
Books where a main character dresses up as a different gender"
So helpful!!! :)

NEW GOAL
Read a book where a girl dresses up as a boy

I tried a few new dishes this year too. All turned out pretty well with the exception of the mac and cheese"
What happened to the mac and cheese????
I destroyed the pumpkin pie somehow...I think I was so exhausted at that point that I was just like eh f*ck it.
