If you want, you can send me a link. I tried to find it, but didn't have any luck.

Also, I answered questions for Fourth Wing. My responses are #300, 301, and 303. Do I need to do anything else?

I'm trying to finish two more. They aren't really needed for a specific task, but I'm over half way on both of them, so I'll try.

I finished a 400+ page book, but won't attempt to update the ss until I'm back at my laptop. It was How to Sell a Haunted House. I thought it was legitimately scary!

I know the preference is to have one book cover multiple tasks, but

is already done and a talking cat is a main character.

DQ Day 3 Chapters 14-2010. So we are half way through the book. Thoughts and feelings? Loving it? Hating it? Ambivalent?
I'm not hating it, but not blown away. I think the dragons are carrying this book for me.
11. Jeremiah gets killed pretty quickly as his signet shows. Do you agree that power can't be allowed?
I don't think this should be a death sentence. I supposed it's dangerous, but aren't most of these signets while they are still developing their skills?
11. What's the deal with Andarna? Why do you think 2 dragons have bonded with Violet?
I love Andarna. I think she bonded with Violet for saving her, but also because she could relate to Violet being more physically frail/small.
12. If you could choose a Signet what would it be?
Maybe mending/healing. Being a lightning wielder does sound pretty cool though...

DQ Day 2: Chap 7- 13 6. This section starts with two scenes with each of the male love/lust interests. The comparison of them continues very clearly. Do you like Xaden or Dain better or neither?
I'm normally a "good guy" person, but I am not loving Dain. Just not feeling it. He's beyond good guy to goody-goody level. Nope.
7. Violet uses alternative methods to survive the fighting challenges. Do you think that counts as cheating or using the resources available? Do you think she is aware that she only has this information because she comes from a privileged background and her sister count sneak in it? Do you think one of the professors should have noticed after 5 rounds?
I don't think it's cheating because it's not really a game. Her methods would bother me in an athletic competition, but she has been careful not to kill anyone and she's just trying to stay alive. If your life is at stake, I think it's survival.
8. The obstacle course is straight out of American Ninja warrior (and other similar TV shows) including ending with the giant ramp. Did you enjoy this section and how Violet figured out working with her height limitations? Have they told us how tall she is? (Though in real life, the shortest person to make it up the wall has only been 5’1” – I just Googled it).
I DID think of American Ninja Warrior during this section! I don't recall her height being mentioned, other than she's very small. They have really, really mentioned that.
9. Finally, we meet the dragons. Was it all you were hoping for? Did anyone guess the black one when it was first introduced in this section? (Also, I am not taking the fall seriously at the end of my section since we still have 2/3 of the book to go).
I am enjoying the dragons significantly more than anticipated. I don't usually read fantasy and only picked this one up because it seems to be the book of summer. But I am loving the dragons!
Bonus: If you could have a dragon from any book or movie, which one would you want?
I'm not familiar with a lot of dragons, but maybe I'll go with Pete's Dragon from the Disney movie. He seems least likely to fry me in my sleep.

1. As someone who grew up with the Pern books, I love diving back into a world with dragons and dragon riders. And this one has extra bonus Gryphons, apparently!
Do you h..."
1. I'm not familiar with Pern books, but the dragons are fun. It is reminding me a little of the Hunger Games. "Weak" little sister with the protective older sister character.
2. Violet's sister seems to genuinely be looking out for her. I think her mom has some self-serving interest. Either she knows Violet will excel as a rider or she's afraid of her becoming a scribe.
3. Again, this violent opening is reminding me of The Hunger Games. I'm not sure I would have given my book to a stranger. It would be nice to have a friend to go into this experience with, but I might be too terrified to make the switch. It's hard to know!
4. Honestly...no. I would be horrible at War Games. :)
5. Of course she'll get chosen. It's a 500 page book! I actually had a hard time feeling the "suspense" of the opening because I think we all knew, deep down, that Violet was going to make it pretty far. Unless, of course, Rebecca Yarros is a pen name for George R.R. Martin...
I have tons and tons of Christmas books here. I've just been so busy this past week. I'll see if any are short. I won't sign up until I'm pretty sure I can get it quickly.

I will also finish How to Sell a Haunted House tonight. It's 419 pages if it helps with the substitutions.

I've been super busy the last couple of days. I finished Fourth Wing, but need to go answer the BOM questions. I'll try to finish my Christmas book this weekend too.
