35559 Yay - two new tasks - and Amanda - we can use your "How to Howl at the Moon" once it's on your Tower team shelf for one of them.

35559 You all take such good care of each other - I love this team! I just got home and before I start working on food for tomorrow I'm going to make sure chipmunks are checked in.

35559 Since we are only 33% done with the month, it's great we are ahead of the curve in all of the categories. If we keep doing what we are doing, we are going to rock this month!

35559 I was incorrect about task #42 being for a Booker prize. Although we will see a Booker prize task.

#42 is for the INTERNATIONAL Booker prize. Here is the list:
https://www.goodreads.com/award/show/...

For this one, the mods will also take nominees. (For the eventual Booker prize task, they will only take winners.)

35559 Vi, that's an excellent point about filling up the compulsory page criteria - we are progressing on chipmunks nicely, but we MUST do those pages, so it's great that we can progress on both.

35559 For our new task - "read a booker" - we are verifying in the captain's group but I'm 99% sure It's read a book that has won the Booker prize.

Here's a website that lists them:
https://thebookerprizes.com/the-booke...

And here is the Goodreads list - but it also contains nominees - so be sure if you choose one it actually won :)

I was incorrect about it being a Booker prize (although a future task will be one of these and the above links will apply. I'll put the correct below.

Put a Ring on It (Ready or Knot, #1) by K.A. Mitchell"

I looked up the definition of bling and the dictionary says: flashy jewelry worn especially as an indication of wealth or status - so although it's jewelry I think we need something flashier. I'm sorry! In the captains group when people are asking, they are being fairly strict, so I think it's best to be more blingy (a new made up word).

I'm so glad you loved it! And (as you might have seen) it works for a chipmunk task!

35559 Kirsten - I'm not finding Pinot and Pineapple Lumps on your TT shelf (or your read shelf). If you can get it on there, I'll move that chipmunk task over. Thanks!

35559 I'd agree with what Kirsten said about the bling - I'm pretty sure it has to be some sort of jewelry. I'll get the Treasure book checked in :)

35559 Oops - I'm glad you noticed that! I'll make sure I have that straight and get it turned in - thanks a bunch!

35559 @Janeylou - can you put Vanilla Spiced Omega on your Tower Team shelf?

35559 So crazy! That's a ton in a bit over a week.

Thanks so much for fixing things Shannon! The two chipmunk tasks are checked in. We have another China task.

I looked on Wikipedia and around and I think since a significant portion of the story takes place in pre-WWII China for Kitchen Gods Wife, it works ok. It isn't just a brief visit there.

Here is what https://www.encyclopedia.com/arts/enc... says:
A novel set predominantly in China from around 1911 to 1949 and set in America around the time of publication; published in 1991.

35559 Oh shoot - I'd better verify that one.

But...our spreadsheet is looking weird to me (our planning sheet) and I'm not sure what is going on.

I would guess probably not since it is worded "author from China" and "set in China". But those sound like wonderful books!
