35559 I think we will need to ask about Under my Skin to see if it works. We don't have a real team consensus, and it's complicated if something gets disallowed after the fact. As we are one of the top teams, I would guess the things we do are scrutinized more than some, which is ok!

I'll let you know.
Meanwhile, I did finish the last sorting hat book, so new wheel tasks coming soon.

35559 You definitely can! Those things just have to be done by the end of the month (challenge).

35559 I'll be done with our last Sorting Hat book in about an hour.

35559 Here is what the mods said:

If they are clearly used as directions you'll be ok.
In the Lives of Puppets wouldn't work, I think (position not direction)
Can't think of an in title that might work though.

So (it's late at night thus correct me if I'm wrong) Under My Skin seems like position not direction. And to me, so does Wake me Up Inside? But I'm not sure about the second, especially since "Up" was listed as one of their examples. What do you all think?

You have missed nothing :) Thanks - I'll do that right now.

Break the Rules (Rough Love #7) by Leighton Greene"

I'm torn about this one because I don't know that it's 50% black (in spite of tineye) or 50% red, because of the massive chest in the middle. Not that I'm complaining about that or anything :) But b/c of tin-eye we could probably count it as black. However, if we get a majority of "red" votes that's fine too. Or we could always uses it for letters. No matter what, nice cover :)

Cris that is certainly teal, which is why we don't always listen to tineye. Grey indeed..... silly program.

Gender doesn't matter. If we have a rogue-type and a princess-type we are golden :)

35559 Nanci - that was a great idea for Fourth Wing, but it doesn't have one on the list. Darn! The MPG is on the page where the book is shown.

Vi, I think you could use Shards of Honor for Gryffindor because the MCs value their friendship, and sacrifice a lot because of that belief in each other. If I were their sorting hat, I'd likely put Cordelia in Gryffindor and Aral in Hufflepuff.

35559 We have lots of possibilities for finishing princess and rogue now that we got the confirmation from mods of just needing "princess type" and "rogue type" so I guess just see whose book works first?

And thanks Lisa

35559 Jen I was thinking the same way about this months books! I guess it can feed my "starting and not finishing" tendency :)

Kerri - when I look at the big cover in Goodreads and Amazon, I feel like it's dark green and Tineye is emphasizing the shadows like it does.

35559 For the Princess and Rogue trope - here is what the mods decided (they did discuss it because like us, there were different opinions):

We are going with you need a princess and rogue types.

They do not need to engage with hanky-panky with one another for the book to count for this task.

So any of the books suggested by you all, including that first one suggested by Lisa, would work!

35559 Shannon (and everyone) NEVER feel bad or pressured about book count. The #1 rule is to have fun. And wow I think we are doing that!

I have to go to the gym, and want to read all the latest messages more carefully when I get back. BUT....(next message)

35559 Here is what I asked:
Our team has a question about "read a book with princess and rogue trope characters". So the question is - do we just need princess and rogue types, or is part of the trope a romantic relationship between them? Or does the rogue need to protect the princess? I've googled and I cannot find a trope "definition" and I am not sure if I'm being too strict, but I also don't want to be too lenient.

If we just need the types, then LOTS of books fit, including the one Lisa mentioned at the first. But hopefully we can decide what the mods consider the trope to be :)
