That makes me even more interested to hear what you think about the book Nanci. I suspect that that event was one of those where so many people remember where they were that day, how they felt, etc. Like men walking on the moon, Challenger, and of course 9/11. Any others you all can think of? I'd really be interested in hearing about other country equivalent events too!

Vi- that's good thinking about the 11/23 book, but it'll have to be used as a math thing, so it won't work.
Keli, I'm not exactly sure what book you are asking about? But I'm also not feeling great today, so my thinking may be more impaired than usual!

I hope you enjoy it Shannon! (And everyone else.) I am enjoying it - although I'm not liking this middle section quite as much as I liked the first.

But you've started! How are you liking it so far Nanci?

The Shining will work because of the author, and as Apoorv said, so will 11/22/63 (which also mentions clowns). All good books for page points too - so should we use use whatever happens first for that task?
Weekly Status Report Summary: (As of June 11) We are done with most of the original mini-challenge, but be sure to keep recording color covers for rainbows if that applies. It is FINE to not have a book fit a mini-challenge - we have the primary challenge to excel at :) You all have been excellent at hitting those Chipmunks! Well done.

Shelf fixes Lisa - we need Dangerous and Three Hears on the Line on your shelf.
Captains: A reminder to check shelves before you check-in a chipmunk book - it really needs to be on the shelf first.

Thanks Nanci! I think it's fine to use. Its only the 10th so there's still lots of time to get books of all page lengths. I'll do my summary tomorrow after company leaves :)

Yes we can still use it for BOM. but that's a great thing to double check! Vi you are so good at thinking about all the connections.

argh an illustration. got distracted at a crucial moment. lol an actual map! But...City of Brass has a map at the front. so let's use one of those we finished.

on my phone waiting for people. I'm almost positive it needs to be a map in the text.

Ok new tasks are up - we may have some previously read books that fit, but my time is also up :) I hope all of you have a wonderful day!

I need to wake up people and be with my company in about 5 minutes - I will get the chipmunk tasks checked in , but I don't have time to put the others on the spreadsheet yet. If someone else does it before I get back, great! Otherwise, I'll put them in later.

I think she has posted that info in post #951. Molly Boys for X-ray."Yes ! It didn't show before I typed then it showed after. - I think we must have posted at the same time.

@Kerri - I just noticed Network Effect is #34 on the "Best of 2020" list - so I'm going to use it for that and get another chipmunk task :)

Oh thank you Nanci. I really think although the mini challenges are helpful the biggest reason we are doing so well is all the page points. And you all work together so beautifully!
I'll check on things tomorrow late afternoon. See you all then!

Kerri - I do think that Network Effect can be classified as tan/brown (they really only give us one brown color). I love Murderbot so much!
Apoorv that definitely counts as bling. I believe Janeylou is reading one but may dump it. So maybe hold onto the bling and see?
All seems quiet here for a second, and it was nice to sneak into my office, so - going to check on chipmunks! :)

13 more people just arrived - i'll check in when i can tonight

I got the book checked in - the new task is X-Rays - Read a book that gets under the skin of something (be creative - a psychological thriller, a non-fiction investigation). So speak up if you have read a June book that might work for that.
Amanda - Although it has the page count, we can't use Frog and Toad Treasury because it is MPG Childrens, and it doesn't meet the wordcount. Darn!
