35559 Those seem like good letters! So then we'd have:
An Evil Heart
Above Suspicion
** Starts with T and ends with #
***Starts with N and ends with #

We could probably choose either of those ** books first, then find the last (hardest since it has 2 requirements)

35559 So for the latest Wheel task - assuming we use my book, we need three books:
1. Starts with A and ends with * (letter that is easy to find as a starting letter for titles)
2. Starts with T and ends with # (letter that is easy to find as an ending letter for titles
3. Starts with * and ends with #

I hope that makes sense :)

Weekly Status Report

Summary: (As of July 9)
Great teamwork with Wheel, pages, and input. Thanks for all of your contributions. We are in 2nd place but are doing so well. I still think we can pull off a win, but even if not, I 100% feel like a winner.

Mini-Challenges
Rainbow Towers: Keep marking any of your books that have colored covers. At the current rate we will have the TT spellouts done in early July, and this will be our only way besides Wheel to gain points. So that spreadsheet column noting colored cover (when applicable) is super important.

Wheel: Nice Teamwork! This is a fun mini - and certainly a challenge.

Page points: We are slightly behind on the 600+ category (I blame wheel) but things are looking good!

Thanks Janeylou! I'm so sorry about the confusion on this task! I think so far it is the least clear - at least to me. I'm not thinking too hard about Wake me Up - since it has Up in the title I think we can just go for it :)

Note: I woke up at 4 a.m. because I couldn't stop thinking about "up, down, under, in, left, right, etc." I finally just got up and started the day. Hope I get THROUGH it :)

Good thing is, I had time to do the update. So incoming:

35559 Janeylou - were you planning on finishing "Wake Me Up Inside"? If not, I'll try to knock off "Down the Hatch" today. I think unless we end up getting mod permission, we probably shouldn't use "Under My Skin" since that really feels more like position (the place something is). I could easily be wrong, but I don't want out tasks frozen if someone disputes it :)

I'll put that heron task in now (unless someone already has, which often happens).

35559 I also will start listening to Down the Hatch tomorrow - it should (hopefully) be pretty fast to finish. Just in case :) It will also work for a color cover, or I can stop (if we finish that direction wheel) and finish it if we spin that one again.

35559 I will finish An Evil Heart tomorrow, which could work for top edge. Then the right edge would need to start with T and the left would need to start with A.

Anyway, have a good night. I have a big thing to do in the morning, so will update about one (Mountain Standard Time) tomorrow.

35559 Here's an example
Top Edge: The Man I Never Met Starts with T, ends with T
Right Edge: Tess of the D'Urbervilles Starts with T, ends with S
Bottom Edge: Seven Faceless Starts with S, Ends with S
Left Edge: The seven Sisters: Starts with T, ends with S

35559 Tower Teams 3: Save Christmas - Read 4 books with title start and end letters that connect to make a square.

35559 (Note: my personal opinion is like "Under my skin" is the same feel as "in the land" and doesn't really imply a direction/movement. But it's confusing to me for sure!)

Jul 08, 2023 08:59PM

35559 Note: There is still no Mod answer about using "Under My Skin" for our last direction task. Janeylou - I think you are reading a heron book instead? I think they may not want to answer the question and just let us figure it out :) I'm not sure how good my brain is (long day) but I guess we will need either a team consensus or another book :)

35559 I agree - I can't even imagine a better team.

I'll go check on that lemon cupcakes wheel :)

35559 @Nanci - I finally found an online version of your book. I can't search the whole thing, but in the prologue it says:
"Thula Thula is a natural home to much of the indigenous wildlife of Zululand, including the majestic white rhino, Cape buffalo, leopard, hyena, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, ......"

So I think it'd work - just double-check that is in your book's prologue.

35559 (And if someone finds a zebra for sure and finishes, I'll hold off on finishing my book in case we get the task again.)

35559 I found one containing "zebra" that I will start as a backup. Today Is quite busy, so I likely wouldn't finish til tomorrow of Monday.

35559 Happy anniversary Nanci! And Jen that sounds like a wonderful trip! And how special spending time with your grandmother and hearing those stories!

Nanci - if you are reading the book on kindle, you can do a search inside, but I'm not sure otherwise! It sure seems likely it might have "zebra"!

35559 Haha and too bad we aren't one of the teams that can use one book for multiple tasks :)
