35559 New Wheel: Read 4 books related to Winter Seasonal Holidays.

Pending: Author initials in ELEPHANT and Title starts with letter from CHELYS - Janine
Witch and Death/Reaper - Suzanne
MOIST in title - Kirsten

I hope everyone's weekend is going well! My grandkids think I'm a crazy reader since I listened to books in the car as I drove them to swimming (a place up in the mountains) and then read the whole time I watched them swim. I am indeed crazy I suppose :)

35559 Thanks so much Amanda! I may move another set - I got one set moved over and now we only have: 9 Claimed unfinished books and
4 unclaimed. All but the last two words are completely finished. Pretty cool :)

35559 Note: keep putting books into TT or Wheel and just make a note if it has a color cover (and let me know if you can't find a letter for it).

35559 I'm going to go ahead and move 8 books out of the spell it out (can move them back if we need) and into a rainbow. I THINK the way we are reading, we'll be able to fill out the whole spell out. But if not, we will do the math and see where the most points are.

35559 I did request another spin - we may have been temporarily forgotten. Someone said be right back about 20 minutes ago. But soon as we have it, I'll let you know :)

35559 Post it for team towers for now. (And just note the teal). When we have the team towers secure, I'll select 8 to move and fill a rainbow, giving us another 8 team towers letters to play with. Wow yay for reading that 400+ book!

So @ anyone - if you don't see a spot for your book - just leave the mini-blank for now and note what letters it would work for. It's juggling time! Which is awesome!

And @everyone - I REALLY hope I don't step on anyone's toes - I'd hate to do that so much - you're all so great.

35559 And Vi is that ok with you?

35559 From Captains group:
The night sky is the nighttime appearance of celestial objects like stars, planets, and the Moon, which are visible in a clear sky between sunset and sunrise,

@Leslie - that one is much shorter than Vi's if you don't mind reading it. And let's put your sunset book in for "N" if that's ok?

35559 @Leslia - I asked about the sunset task in captains - so should know soon.

@team - new spin incoming with yet more tasks!

35559 I'm going to use Kerri's A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking for the "cake" prompt and get a new spin.

@Amanda - hope that is ok.

35559 I can ask in Captains, but we often don't get an answer for awhile. BUT no matter what - that book will get us points - we have lots of mini-challenges to choose from.

35559 (And thinking that if you read the sunset book it'll cover an N for TT.)

35559 Leslie, we are thinking it has to be an after dark book. Do you have one?

35559 (And we can for sure use Amanda's book when finished for something. Aaah - so exciting - babies are the sweetest. )

35559 Good point about the cake in text - if someone has a book with that, we should use it.

I'll put you down for those two Janeylou

Vi - Kolti works for night sky - I can see stars. Are you ok with that as far as the time frame?
Ashara (2388 new)
Jul 29, 2023 07:40AM

35559 Actually, I'll ask here, because time is of the essence. Do you all think we can use the sunset for "night sky" or or do we need something "after dark"?
Ashara (2388 new)
Jul 29, 2023 07:36AM

35559 I agree about the white.

Leslie, that looks like a really good book! I'm not sure it'll work for night sky, but I'll ask. I think they may be looking something like stars/moon, etc. However, either way, you should read it. It would fill N and S in our last spellout if it doesn't work for night sky :)
