New spin: Discworld TasksRead a book featuring a witch or wizard
Read a book with MPG Crime
Read a book with the letters MOIST in the title
Read a book featuring DEATH or the Grim Reaper or equivalent
I did request another spin - we may have been temporarily forgotten. Someone said be right back about 20 minutes ago. But soon as we have it, I'll let you know :)
Post it for team towers for now. (And just note the teal). When we have the team towers secure, I'll select 8 to move and fill a rainbow, giving us another 8 team towers letters to play with. Wow yay for reading that 400+ book!So @ anyone - if you don't see a spot for your book - just leave the mini-blank for now and note what letters it would work for. It's juggling time! Which is awesome!
And @everyone - I REALLY hope I don't step on anyone's toes - I'd hate to do that so much - you're all so great.
From Captains group:The night sky is the nighttime appearance of celestial objects like stars, planets, and the Moon, which are visible in a clear sky between sunset and sunrise,
@Leslie - that one is much shorter than Vi's if you don't mind reading it. And let's put your sunset book in for "N" if that's ok?
@Leslia - I asked about the sunset task in captains - so should know soon.@team - new spin incoming with yet more tasks!
I'm going to use Kerri's A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking for the "cake" prompt and get a new spin.@Amanda - hope that is ok.
I can ask in Captains, but we often don't get an answer for awhile. BUT no matter what - that book will get us points - we have lots of mini-challenges to choose from.
(And we can for sure use Amanda's book when finished for something. Aaah - so exciting - babies are the sweetest. )
Good point about the cake in text - if someone has a book with that, we should use it.I'll put you down for those two Janeylou
Vi - Kolti works for night sky - I can see stars. Are you ok with that as far as the time frame?
Actually, I'll ask here, because time is of the essence. Do you all think we can use the sunset for "night sky" or or do we need something "after dark"?
I agree about the white.Leslie, that looks like a really good book! I'm not sure it'll work for night sky, but I'll ask. I think they may be looking something like stars/moon, etc. However, either way, you should read it. It would fill N and S in our last spellout if it doesn't work for night sky :)
New Spin/TasksRead a book with the night sky on cover
Read a book with all author initials in ELEPHANT
Read a book whose title starts with a letter from CHELYS (A, An, The count!)
Read a book set on a form of transport (e.g. train, ship, space ship)
Also have unclaimed task:
Read a book with a white cover
It says on the original Rules page:ending on Tuesday 1 August, 9am UTC
Here's a countdown timer I created. TOO SHORT! (I don't want to lose you guys.)

That looks light blue to me - and Orphan X is the best! But don't worry too much about colors - I may be being totally wishful thinking about moving some - and I have a decent list - so read whatever you want!
Hooray! Huge thanks to all of you long book readers! It is wonderful having our reading towers officially done!Of course, if you have one in progress that you can finish - we will LOVE those page points. Or medium books, or short books....love them all.
