35559 That's a great idea! Thanks!

I'm not super smart at spreadsheets, so I don't know for sure if I can implement it in the middle of this round without messing up cells-I'll see. But I'm pretty sure I can do it for Round 2.

35559 Welcome back Laurla - I hope you had a ton of fun!! How was the music?

That's a great question, and what a nice problem to have with lots of qualifying characters. Hmm...since we can only use one letter, perhaps choose characters with the most "rare" letters for the spreadsheet - I'd list rarity as "Z, Y, I, E" in that order. Then if you are willing, make a comment on one of the character names (you can do this by right clicking on the spreadsheet cell and selecting "comment"). You can list the other characters there. At least for now, that's the easiest way I can think of - but if anyone has other ideas, feel free! I'm also ok with you taking a second (or more) line just right under you book and listing more characters there - can just put "continued" in the book name.

35559 Yes any character that speaks and has an important role in the plot. I'll change the SS heading from "Main".

Ys, Is, and Zs are the hardest, but there isn't a standout letter we are struggling with right now - I'll keep you all posted.

35559 The round ends in a bit more than a week. If we can get even one letter, we can use the books.

Here's the end countdown:

35559 And we have completed our word twice now - hooray! Before the challenge I was thinking "oh I bet we will finish the word three times" but I think I underestimated our team :)

Yes we do. Well done team - way to attack those bonuses!

Sadly, we have to find a synthesizer letter in order to use it. It actually makes me worry about the upcoming book of the month - but we'll cross that bridge later since we don't even know what that word will be.

35559 I have a "Z" book almost done - but I'll finish it tomorrow so I can count it for Turf Wars (today is the down day). Kari - so glad you knocked off a "Y" book - and that you enjoyed it :)

35559 Lindsay - keep an eye out for important characters (they don't have to be the main character) that fit the letters. But for that book, we can also use the "T" in the title.

Great idea to post any books that may need a bit of group effort! We can/should all do that!

35559 Just a friendly reminder to put books on your wheel shelf :) Note: I forget just as often as everyone else.

35559 Thanks Amanda! It's great they work for bonuses AND have so many useful letters. You found a winner of a series! (And a big shout out to that sweet baby that is letting you get cuddles and reading time.)

35559 Ha another note: I do think the shadowing in Redirection and Codirection makes my eyes see grey. And Tineye does think they are grey (but tineye is not good at "white"). BUT when I pull them up on Amazon and zoom in to the white parts, they do look white and not grey to me. But like when I post them below - I'd glance at both and say "that's a white cover". Thus, I fixed that marking I missed. But I swear, I hate color covers - they always make me feel like I should go back to kindergarten. What do you all think?

35559 Kari - so glad you noticed that - I was concentrating on the instruments and just forgot to mark them. It's nice to have many eyes looking - thanks!

Oh, and note: we may get more than 5 white covers this round. That's fine - we won't get the extra points for more than 5, but it doesn't hurt to overachieve (and always nice to have backups).

35559 Nanci - I love that goal to visit all of the national parks! They gave me a National Parks book when I retired - I think I'm going to start marking it up with comments.
