I'll be joining the BR too - definitely need to get this book off my TBR!

Thanks, LK & Judy!!
LK - Already planned out on places to visit and food to try. Bali's supposed to be a great place for Vegetarians. You won't believe how happy that makes me. I can't want to try out authentic Indonesian dishes Vegetarian Style.
Judy wrote: "I've read 10 books in the last 10 days and think I've burnt myself out a bit. Going to take it a bit slower."Wow, Judy! 10 books in 10 days! Way to go!! You deserve a break!
And I'm so sad you didn't
Throne of Jade - is it worth to give the first book a try anyways?

Good Morning, Team! I'll be off tomorrow to Bali, Indonesia for a weekend getaway. I've been wanting to go to Bali forever! I can't wait for tomorrow.
In prep for the trip, I loaded up my e-reader with books and hubby says if we *really* have to bring it along. I told him - but there are beaches there! :D

Thanks, LK!

LK, you're as bad as Leslie. I just added
based on your comment in MT thread. You and Leslie should start a club!!

Thanks, LK! I was thinking White Cat might not work.
And one last question for this week: Would you accept fantasy setting?
is supposed to be set in a fantasy version of Feudal Japan. Can I count it for #17 - Set in Japan?

I have two questions:
1. For #1 - One word Title, would A, An, The count? For example, would
The Uninvited count as one word or two word title?
2. Would you accept
or
as B/W cover for #28?
Thanks!

Wow!! Congrats, Chris! Way to go!!

Ooh, Double Likes!

Leslie, you are really bad for my TBR! I haven't heard of either books but I agree - Laura Kinsale is awesome. I've only read 2 books of hers but one of them is my all-time favorite.
~Melissa~ wrote: "I love this series - I hope you stay with it. The love triangle aspect gets resolved. It's not like Stephanie Plum. Gets better. I'm up to Bonnie. "I'm planning to give the series another try. I was expecting a different kind of book so the next book I'll know what to expect.
~Melissa~ wrote: "I don't think I've read this Iris Johansen series. I'll have to check it out "So many books! So little time. This book was even in the library today. It was hard not to pick it up.

Oh, very interesting. HR with mystery/suspense?! I'm so in. Thanks for the rec, Leslie!

Vi - I love Iris Johansen but I've never got into her Eve Duncan books. I've read a few of them. I love her other books, however. And I'm definitel..."I'll be reading the next Duncan if only to see how the Triangle resolves. I've read that it does in the next book. Did I mention how much I *
love* LTs?
Would you recommend a Johansen book for me?

Way to go Team!! We're still holding strong in first place.

I finished up
just earlier. It was grittier, more thrillery and sort of darker than I was expecting. Maybe because the MC was called Eve which honestly kept reminding me of In Death's Eve. Anyway, the book was good and fast-paced. The only UGH! thing was it has a love triangle set up. I'll continue with the next book though but maybe not immediately.
How was everybody else's weekend? Did you have fun?

Leslie, I've read the first 3 books of the Otherworld (
) though I haven't moved past book #3. I should get to the rest of the series. The first 3 books feature the same couple and those are good. The first is my absolute favorite though.

Yes. ☺"Thanks, Mods!

I finished
yesterday. It was really good - and mostly different from the 0.5 anthology. My rant was a little premature but it still applies for the most part. But I've got to say, the direction taken is the book was really lovely. I loved the world development; it was not what I expected. And the way fated-mate trope was played out was good. I'm a little on the fence about the whole trope - it's all in the author's hands on how it turns out and Eileen Wilks did it well.
But Leslie & Diane - is there any significance in the necklace shown in the cover? Did I miss something?
. And I had to laugh when I saw this cover for the next book:
- they copied the Mercy Thompson cover. :)
Also I finished
- Man, Sarah Mayberry is still my favorite HQN author. She was able to cram a really difficult plot into a HQN length and she made it work exceptionally well. The only complaint I have is that I wanted to read more. And the next book is out which I'm definitely reading soon.
