**gasps** Vi!"
*Shrugs* Rupert Grint's much better. I thought he was sort of short-changed in the later movies with their focus on Harry-Hermoine non-romance. I will concede he got better compared to the first two movies.

OK I gots to thinking and the worst of the worst is Voldemort and then the list down down from there."
Sure, Voldemort is bad but he's been set up the as the EVIL guy from the start and he doesn't fail. But he doesn't annoy/irritate the reader. I mean, he gets the most screen time in Book 7 but they are somewhat interesting (his recollection of murdering Harry's parents for example) in that we get to see incidents I never thought we'd see. And incidentally, his is the only other PoV we get to see (excluding the Pensieve)
The difference between Voldemort and Lockhart, Umbridge is that they are set up to be annoying, irritating persons. And in Umbridge's case, very loathsome both in book 5 & 7. Voldemort doesn't get to that level of annoyingness in any of the books.
But the movie casting was spot-on for both Lockhart & Umbridge. They stayed so true to the spirit of the characters. And I'm probably opening myself to rotten tomatoes when I say I'm not that impressed with Daniel Radcliffe. His acting is just ok.. Not that great. *ducks*

I have so many books waiting for Sept that I hardly know which to start first. But I'm definitely finishing this within the first few days. But really, I agree. The first book was good, the second is even better. I'm expecting the third to be awesome.

I disliked Lockhart and Umbridge for different reasons, but hated them both.
Umbridge is villainous and horrible, defi..."
Lockhart is very, very annoying in the audiobook. Jim Dale did a great job with the narration that you really want to punch Lockhard in the mouth just when he smiles.
OoP is one of the most angsty books in the series. Umbridge is very loathsome. I can't wait to see how Jim Dale does her.

@Melissa: Man, I loved your rant. Finally, someone else ranting along with me. Honestly, it's times like these that I miss physical books. (view spoiler) ["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
