You should, Leslie. The first books takes a while to set up - it's the longest at almost 1000 pages but I really enjoyed it. Phedre is such an awesome heroine and the world Carey built was very very interesting. It's one of my favorite Fantasy series. And I know about Coursera - I took a course some 8 months back but I couldn't really complete it. It was fun, though!
Good Morning, Team!! How's everybody doing?I just finished re-reading
-I've been wanting to read it ever since one my groups had a dark-fantasy month. I managed to gobble it in 2 days which must be a record (it's nearly 800 pages) It's one of the BEST trilogy endings I've ever read. And it's the best trilogy of Carey's. Now I need to find something light to read.

HPOkay, just finished
via audio. I was almost finished last night, so I went ahead and watched the ..."Wow, LK! You really compared the movie and the book! The only plus point I can wholeheartedly say for the movie is that Harry's angstyness is portrayed well - especially for those who don't like teenage angst. The movie doesn't really advance the plot points as the book does. Maybe they didn't want to spend too much time talking?
Oh, glad you're enjoying Magic Burns, Rebecca! If you like this one, then you'll definitely find the rest even more enjoyable.I stayed up yesterday night to
. It was a good end to the trilogy though I'm a little on the fence about the way things played out. The book's still on my mind which is a great thing to say about it.
HP OoPI finished OoP just before I left for my vacation. I loved listening to the audiobook - the angsty-ness was written very well. And I love how the other characters are developed in the book - especially Luna & Neville.
I'm starting
tomorrow. I can't emphasize how much I'm enjoying Jim Dale's narration. I'm noticing more details this time around.
Good Morning, Team!! Hope everyone's having a great weekend!I'm back from my mini-vacation - we had an awesome time at Bali but I definitely need to visit it again. Such a beautiful place.
I didn't have much time to read but I managed to finish
(A really good fantasy set in feudal Japan - I need to find more books like these) &
(A re-read - I'm currently re-reading this massive series and I felt this one was a little OTT with its ending.)And having a relaxing day finished
(An enjoyable MG fantasy?) today while Hubby cooked. Bliss!!

Thanks, LK & Judy!!LK - Already planned out on places to visit and food to try. Bali's supposed to be a great place for Vegetarians. You won't believe how happy that makes me. I can't want to try out authentic Indonesian dishes Vegetarian Style.
Judy wrote: "I've read 10 books in the last 10 days and think I've burnt myself out a bit. Going to take it a bit slower."Wow, Judy! 10 books in 10 days! Way to go!! You deserve a break!
And I'm so sad you didn't Throne of Jade - is it worth to give the first book a try anyways?
Lisa Kay wrote: "LOL! Maybe a shelf entitled: "leslie-&-lisa-kay-made-me-do-it.""I really should have a shelf like that!
Good Morning, Team! I'll be off tomorrow to Bali, Indonesia for a weekend getaway. I've been wanting to go to Bali forever! I can't wait for tomorrow. In prep for the trip, I loaded up my e-reader with books and hubby says if we *really* have to bring it along. I told him - but there are beaches there! :D
LK, you're as bad as Leslie. I just added
based on your comment in MT thread. You and Leslie should start a club!!
Thanks, LK! I was thinking White Cat might not work. And one last question for this week: Would you accept fantasy setting?
is supposed to be set in a fantasy version of Feudal Japan. Can I count it for #17 - Set in Japan?
I have two questions:1. For #1 - One word Title, would A, An, The count? For example, would The Uninvited count as one word or two word title?
2. Would you accept
or
as B/W cover for #28?Thanks!
Leslie, you are really bad for my TBR! I haven't heard of either books but I agree - Laura Kinsale is awesome. I've only read 2 books of hers but one of them is my all-time favorite.

So many books! So little time. This book was even in the library today. It was hard not to pick it up.
