Left - Read a book with less than 500 pages - Cruel Intent by J.A. Jance - 12/14/14 - 340 pages
Right - Read a book written by a woman - End in Tears by Ruth Rendell - 12/15/14

I have reached the centre of the maze. I have no idea how to make one of the actual mazes show up here, so please use your imagination. Sadly Rachel is already booting her way out of town with the cash so clearly I have to follow her east and engage her in a duel to the death for the treasure. Hopefully Tory will be sitting in the hallway reading causing Rachel to trip over her legs, thus slowing her down.
I have a very rich inner life. :D
Left - Read a book published more than a century ago (before 1915) - Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson - 12/18/14 - Published 1883
Right - Reread a book you loved in the past (you must have given it at least 4 stars) - The Stainless Steel Rat Wants You by Harry Harrison - 12/18/14 - 4 stars
Left - Read a book with something silver on the cover - An Island Christmas by Nancy Thayer - 12/21/14 - silver star on tree
Left - Read a book whose author's last initial matches your last name initial - Yesterday by Fern Michaels - 12/22/14 - my last name starts with M
Right - Read a book that starts with a B for Balefire - Break No Bones by Kathy Reichs - 12/25/14

Today was another day of baking instead of reading - 950 billion sugar cookies baked and decorated and packaged (I may be exaggerating slightly) - off to the charity bake sales I support. I have read approximately 5 pages of Death Come Quickly, we'll see how long I can stay awake.
I've been meaning to read Dexter. Too many books in the world.

But she must die! What happened to truth in advertising? ;)
Finished Cruel Intent for 20 pts.

Anyway, if we still need a good girl/good boy book I have read Cry No More which is about a woman who spends 10 years searching for her missing son and starts a foundation that helps to find other missing children. She's pretty darn good I think. I also read Without Fail - a Jack Reacher novel and I think Reacher's a good guy (not when played by Tom Cruise, but in the books...). He only kills bad guys. :)
Also I read Ready Player One which was okayed for a yellow cover and I'm currently reading Written in My Own Heart's Blood which is over 800 pages.
I know all these books are spoken for, but it seems like half our team never checks in so if we need them, go ahead.

If not, how about

I don't know what to read next. I guess I need to figure out my next left turn.

In any case, I think I was okay with this book because (view spoiler)

I didn't read a word of any book today, instead I've been in the kitchen baking and cooking. Birthday cakes and dinners, charity baking and christmas cookies. Plus my eyes got a bit of a rest. :D

Rachel, your BR points are insanely impressive. Only that crazy reading machine over on the winning team ;) is higher than you, and not by much. Way to go!

Does anyone else seem to get themes in their reading? I pick my books quite arbitrarily from the library. I pick ones that various groups are discussing, the next edition in the series I am reading, books I have heard about on the radio that sound interesting, then books that grab my attention in some way - a new author, a pretty cover, an attention grabbing colour, whatever. Yet as random as I think they are I end up finding similarities as I read. 3 of the last 4 books I read discussed early menopause, completely out of the blue. Two completely different genres used the same random quote. Once I was reading three very different books and they all had a character with the same name - and the name wasn't Jim Smith either, it was an odd one. :D Maybe I'm a book witch?
