So far I'm not a big fan of the jumping back and forth in the timeline. I prefer my stories to start, evolve and then end. :)

Started this tonight, finally. Anyone else ready to chat?

Your BR points continue to be outstanding Rachel, thanks!

This is my first time participating in Tower Teams and I have no idea how this round differs from the first two, but I'm enjoying it even though from the beginning it seemed like the best we could do was second place. A bit of a bummer when you are as competitive as I am, but I shall survive. :D
I do question the BRs and BotMs being more points than actually just reading a book sometimes. If reading is supposed to be the focus of this challenge, then perhaps dropping the "extra" points to 5 per book might make things more even. I have personally done very few because of how I get my books. When you live in a town of 250 people and borrow your books from the (surprisingly awesome for a town this size) library, your choices are limited. YA and paranormal/fantasy are not as popular at my library as they are on this site. Twice I suggested mystery books as BRs and got no takers, so I suspect my tastes are a little different from the majority.
My opinion anyway and I'm still loving the challenge and we are totally going to get second place which is technically first when you are competing against Cyborg-cats! ;)

Finished two books today -
and
- both quite enjoyable. I've been on a good book kick lately after my string of 2 star reads, so that is great. Now that the duel is over I'm going to try and get these BRs done -
The Drawing of the Three,
Tatiana and Alexander,
Eragon and
Me Before You. Hopefully there will still be someone around to discuss them with. I also finally got
Cop Town which I think was an old BotM, so maybe some points from that too. Onward!!!

We have until the end of January 18th in our individual time zones for the duel, so for me any book posted before 11:59 p.m. CST is good to go. Any books you read today, please make sure you post them today too. Have a nice Sunday all, I'm off to work.

Finished and added two books for today - both pretty good little mysteries which is a nice surprise. :) I have one more smallish book and a bunch of half finished ones for tomorrow, so I'll get as many done as I can. Just depends on when the cut-off is for the duel. All of the fire teams have finished their 6 category books, so I think we have a good chance of winning. Yay dragons!

Awwwww, I love
The Hobbit, part of my childhood.
Finished
Standoff today for 20 pts and 1 duel book. :) Do we have all of the 18th to read for the duel? I should be able to get two more tomorrow and two on Sunday if we do. Pulling out all my shorter books for these last couple of days. Then I might hit the BRs again.

I'm baking bread, doing laundry and reading my book. This is a good day. I'm going to have to leave my house at some point, but right now tomorrow seems soon enough. :D

It's like we all took a little internet vacation at the exact same time. :D I'm back, finished a book yesterday and a book today. Haven't been reading as much as I'd like but that darn real life getting in the way again. Very annoying. Four more days left in the fire vs. water challenge. I'm aiming for five books in that time. Hope you are all busy reading. Good night teamies!

Still second place everybody, way to read!

Finished
- Dog didn't get to tear anyone's face off but she did okay for herself anyway. One book, 20 pts and the Jets are beating the Ducks, so a good day so far.

I've been awake since 3 a.m. (stupid insomnia) so I finished a 20 pointer and got a good way through a bigger book. I left my current book at work or I could have finished that one, though it is weird and I'm a little concerned about the dog in the first few chapters. So far I'm continuing because I'm pretty sure that Dog is going to get her revenge and take the face off a few of those asshat scientists later in the book. Team Dog!
Good luck with your Pohler biography Ashley and Rachel. Hope it is funny. :) If not, one of your questions can always be "Why can't funny people ever write funny books?"

I thought the books and series were different with Pretty Little Liars? I haven't read any of the books, but I did watch the first (well most of it) season of the TV show and I understood that they had changed quite a bit of the "mystery". Still no desire to read the books though. :) Just a little too YA for me these days, I am very very old.
Finished a great book today -
Does Your Mother Know?. Quite interesting. Not quite as good as her Murdoch Mysteries and contemporary instead of historical, but liked it.
Should have one more done before tomorrow's updates. Come on second place gaining on the lead..... :D

Finished two books today and should get most of another done tonight because my feet are still frozen from work and I just want to wrap up in a blanket and get warm. I like winter, I like snow and I like cold but I could really do without this WIND. :)

Finished one book today, I'm trying to read some shorter ones this week to get the maximum book count possible. Now I have a raging headache and I have my nephew and my dog-niece added to the house mix for the weekend so I'd better get some sleep tonight cause tomorrow may be insane.
Go dragons!

Do you guys realize how well we are doing in this challenge? We are seriously catching up to the first place team. A couple of weeks ago they were more than 2000 pts ahead of us and this afternoon they were exactly 1000 ahead. We totally rock. And we are doing it short one player and without the new influx of blood that has jumped a few teams up the ladder. Totally awesome. Yay us!
And Angel, I am so sorry I still can't figure out how to access the spreadsheets so I can't update anything. I am computer incompetent. I warned you.
Go Balefire!

The ending drove me nuts.
(view spoiler)[They are finally together and it is over. And I will bet you 900 million dollars that at the beginning of the new book she'll skip over any Fraser's Ridge togetherness and have them scattered to the four winds again because of something stupid. What war is next? Oh gods it's going to be all blah, blah, Constitution isn't it? Unless she figures out a way to jump them forward to the War of 1812. I assume we're never going back to the UK at this point for anything important. (hide spoiler)]

You think that little pool of water would stop a flamethrower? I have nothing against Mr. Darcy per se, but he'd look pretty cool as a tower of flame. Just saying.

You mean insulin and glucose aren't the same thing? Shock! ;)
I can ignore ridiculous stuff more easily in books.
