Has anyone read it?"

I read the first several books in that series and liked them, but eventually it devolved into nothing but really annoyingly repetitive sex and I dropped poor Anita like a hot potato. I remember the first book as being quite good though.

I haven't signed up for any Buddy Reads yet, but I'm sure I'll do a couple.

35559 I'm not around as much now that I'm at my winter store - no internet there. But I have time to read a book a day again, so that will help our numbers. :)

Started my 1100 page book yesterday. It's my "read in the morning while I have coffee" book, so it will take me more than eight days to finish for sure.

I'm stuck reading quite a bit of women's fiction to finish up the SRC right now. I tend to leave the genres I don't love until the end. But they've all been pretty okay - nothing I wanted to throw across the room so I'm calling it a success.

Hope you all are having a great weekend.

35559 That countdown clock is very cool. As far as I can tell, that means 3 a.m. my time. Sadly I am often awake at that time, so my insomnia could count for something. :)

I've got The Stand 1168 p., The Three Musketeers 830 p., Written in My Own Heart's Blood 825 p. to read before the end of November and Coming Home 752 p. for another challenge I'm working on. I'll take a look at that "fat book" challenge and maybe join up. I should limit myself until my yearend is done, but where's the fun in that.

Hi Andrea! Look at all us Canadians congregating here. :) Good to know that The Crossing Places is a good one.

I think we actually manage to catch everything (after hours of trying to sort it out) and put it in first few posts. :D "

I can't even imagine trying to moderate that, shall we say, challenging thread. And I am queen of organization. Bravo you all.

35559 Hi Ashley and Vinny!

My library has The Crossing Places, so I'll read that BOM for sure. I'll look into the daily questions too if I'm the only one from this team reading that one.

Looks like I need a bale of string and a map to wade into the Buddy Reads section, so I'll check that out when my brain is working on a bit more sleep than it currently is. :)

I have a couple of bigass books that I still need to read for SRC, so I'm saving those for November for the extra points they will earn us here.

35559 My shelf.

I'll have to check and see if I have access to any of these BOM or BR books.

35559 Oh good, I'm a dragon. I am feeling particularly dragon-y this morning. If I could actually breathe fire, there wouldn't be much left around me right now. If I could breathe fire through the telephone wires, there wouldn't be anything left. Grrr. :)

Hi Rosina, we are following each other. Have you chosen your mystery shelf book yet? Hi Tea (with fancy flowers I couldn't make if I my life depended on it) who I recently met in SS. Love that challenge, wish we weren't done already. Hi every one else who I don't know yet but am looking forward to getting to know. This challenge sounds awesome and fairly low-key. Read, get points. I think I can handle that. :)

I am Allison or Al (Allison Ann makes me feel like I'm in trouble for something). I live in Northwestern Ontario, Canada (CST), in the middle of nowhere. I work in tourism, self-employed, way too many hours but fortunately I can't fire myself for reading at work. Almost all my books come from the library so I read whatever is available - lots of mysteries and non-fiction, not as much fantasy as I would like, fluffy romance when my brain needs a break.

Angel and Joi, thanks for volunteering to be co-captains so we could have a new team. Appreciate it. Looking forward to this challenge. I have to go wash and put away screens now. Have a great day all.
