My book What Comes After Crazy has this phrase on page 178. "... explains to us all that Kaarina's bedroom has a boa constrictor in it, and he had to paint around this huge cage while this six-foot long reptile stared at him." It's obviously a snake, though the word snake isn't mentioned. Right?

Looking back, LaLine wasn't having a very good week and said she probably wouldn't have her ship book done for awhile. If she wants to dump her book, I'm fine with that too.

So we have until Saturday to decide if we want to boon a goal. Any thoughts? LaLine is reading a ship. Sarah-jane is reading from the "women" shelf. Are you still going to read a horror novel too Sarah-jane? Or does anyone else have one that will work? I have a "2001' shelf and an X on the cover that I will get to on Sunday or Monday, but if somoene else beats me that is great. Or we can boon one of them to try and get some more goals accomplished before the new week starts.

Our new goal -- Read a book shelved (listed on the first page of the "top shelves" of the book) as women - plurals and minor spelling variations are acceptable.
I checked all the goalless books that I thought might work. They didn't. :) Any ideas?

I see what you mean Sarah-jane. I'm not sure if they are far enough in the book yet to see all the connections, but I can certainly ask.

I found a 2001 book also but unless I decide to give up on SRC then it has to wait about a week too.
Interconnecting families - I got nothing.

23. Did Claire actually fall in love with Paul or was she just so afraid of being alone? She cheated on him multiple times, is that "being in love?" She took care of him in the hospital, but was that guttural fear just because she can't be alone?
This is why I rarely read romance novels - their version of love doesn't seem to match my own. I can't imagine marrying someone because it was better than being alone, but I'm assuming that was the case here - Paul was obsessed with Claire, and Claire liked being adored.
24. Do you think Lydia really forgives Claire for choosing Paul over her? Do you think Claire forgives herself?
I suspect Claire forgives herself quite easily, but I don't think Lydia is over it yet, but I do think she is trying.
25. Do you find yourself yelling at the book? Things like GET OUT OF THE HOUSE or CALL THE FBI AND STOP STRAGGLING! What do you find yourself saying or thinking?
Funny - I yell at a lot of books but I don't remember yelling at this one. There was quite a bit of muttering under my breath, especially about the cliche dirty cops.
26. Do you think Paul's father started this or do you think this started long before him? Do you think it goes so deep as to include politicians and law enforcement?
I'm suspecting a conspiracy but I do think that Paul's father brought him into the fold (so to speak).
27. SO MUCH WAS REVEALED IN THIS SECTION! Questions were answered, loose ends were tied up. Did you expect Paul to be alive? Is he telling the truth about being purely a distributor?
I wasn't expecting Paul to be alive, but I wasn't overly surprised that he was. I don't think Paul could tell the truth about anything at this point, he's definitely involved beyond being a distributor.

Nothing in the goalless books about interconnecting families, anyone have something that will work?
