The lake sounds nice! Whereabouts are you located? I haven't been to the beach yet this year. Right now it's coolish and rainy. Damn you, global warming!
My husband & I are going to see Santana in concert on Sunday evening. I'm pretty excited for that!
I am proud to say I only utilize the public library! I don't have an ereader & hate reading on my tablet. I like the feel and smell of actual books. I am also poor & live in a small apartment, so no longer purchase books. If I can't get it from the library, I don't read it. That being said, Hawaii has a wonderful public system! There's no limit to the amount of books you can borrow. I have 122 books out right now. You can search the system online & usually get even a popular book within a week. I go visit my neighborhood branch every Monday afternoon & leave with shopping bags full of books!
I can deal with sticky. I don't necessarily like it, but I am frequently sticky. Menopause sucks big time. Itchy would drive me nuts!!Would you rather act in a play or sing The National Anthem at a stadium in front of thousands of sports fans??

Where are you from, Eunice? I hate the hot humid weather in Hawaii. I like the cold winter months better than summer...
♦Ashley♦ wrote: "Would you rather always have to say everything on your mind or never speak again?"I could easily never speak again! There's far too much to read! I am very chatty, but I could communicate online and through text. That would fulfill my needs. Maybe I'd finally write my novel...

I ended up with That Perfect Someone because they decided to allow compound words since everyone was having such a hard time! I haven't read a romance voluntarily in years!
Y'all wouldn't believe how many books I have on deck just waiting for 5/4!!

Looking forward to finding out about Levana's back story... I'll rack up points if I read Winter during Tower! I'm not sure how many pages it has, but it kinda looks like the old phone books used to! Who remembers the official Telephone Directories before cell phones? :)
I keep obsessively rereading the rules. I can't get over the fact that we can read anything we choose! I'm coming off of several very restrictive challenges right now. For example, in a challenge with another group, this week my team has to find a book with "some" in the title that has to be either: a) a romance b) have a gun on the cover c) have the author's last name start with the letter A d) have a cover that's 50% green e) have a title that starts with one of the letters in FRIEND or f) have a number in the title. I mean, seriously?? I'm off to the library to look for this magical unicorn of a book! You can see why I'm extra-excited for Tower to start!!
I've been reading the Lunar Chronicles and the Great Libraries series' with friends in a different group. May continue on with those for Tower. I kinda have adult ADD when it comes to reading. I am very easily distracted....Look! A bunny!!
I'm not an accountant. Wouldn't that just be too weird? I actually am a math retard. (Pardon the expression!) I am an office assistant at the state mental hospital in the medical records unit. Very interesting with an underlying sense of danger and intrigue. I will read anything and everything. My basic rule is to give a new book 100 pages. If I absolutely hate it, I'll stop and move on. It doesn't happen too often...
What's everyone reading right now?

Aloha everyone! I'm Lauri from Hawaii & I'm really excited to be here. I never played this one before, but am looking forward to it. I am a huge nerd! Love Star Wars -- especially the 3 originals. I've seen them all, but was quite saddened by Rogue One! I usually read 5-12 books simultaneously, but don't know why. I do not buy books anymore or use an e-reader. I just visit my friendly neighborhood library every Monday afternoon & come away with shopping bags filled with books -- we have no limit!
Count me in! I'll add what I have so far...11 / 26
