As long as it refers to the weapon. I found one that had Spears, but it was referring to Brittany.

How much of the book? I would think we need 50%, or for it to be listed in the setting section of the book info.

I’ll check on the mountain lion, in case we get it again. But snake shifter is great!

@Amanda - Does This Same Breath (or any of the ones you read in that series) have a lion? The description says he is a wildlife vet, so I was hoping!

Chimera



The Chimera has been spotted on your lands causing destruction everywhere it goes. Hard to kill and known to have multiple personality disorder, be prepared for chaos.

To vanquish this monster you must:
1.) Read a book between 350 and 450 pages (inclusive).
2.) Read a book that takes place in Asia Minor (Italy, Greece, Albania, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Egypt, Libya, Israel and Lebanon).
3.) Read a book with "spear" in the text.
4.) Read a book with MPG War.
5.) Read a book that features a lion, goat, or snake.

@Snowtulip - Lisa just finished a book with an archer, so we're going to put that one in there and get a new monster. Just wanted to let you know in case that changes wether or not you read the book. :)

Kraken



The Kraken has been seen in the sea depths near you land, destroying ships on a whim. If defeated, you will always wonder how you managed to survive. May be searching for Andromeda or Pegasus, he's a bit bitter they got away.

To vanquish this monster you must:
1.) Read a book 800 pages or longer.
2.) Read a book with a ship on the cover (spaceship allowed because Mods can be benevolent too).
3.) Read a book where the Author name (first or last) starts and ends with the same letter (e.g., Andromeda)
4.) Read a book where a character goes swimming
5.) Read a book that is an 8 in the series number (e.g., #8, #18, #0.8)

Cretan Bull



The Cretan Bull has been spotted running amok across your lands destroying defensive walls and crops alike. He is hard to defeat and really should of been sacrificed as the gods intended. Also, not opposed to participating in some marriage infidelity. So there may be some surprises popping out 9 months from now.

To vanquish this monster you must:
1.) Read a book between 350 and 450 pages (inclusive).
2.) Read a book with a white cover.
3.) Read a book where something physical is destroyed (e.g., building burning down and not a relationship being ruined).
4.) Read a book where the MC ignores important advice.
5.) Read a book with a 7 in the page count.

The Centaurs have over run the forests on your lands and are taking no prisoners (sorry
Prometheus). In a new category of moderately hard to defeat, they shouldn't be underestimated.
In fact, in most realms they are known for their intelligence, so plan your attack well.
To vanquish this monster you must:
1.) Read a book between 300 and 349 pages (inclusive).
2.) Read a book with a forest on the cover.
3.) Read a book where a character is an archer.
4.) Read a book with MPG Classics.
5.) Read a book where a character is considered wise.

FYI - for the Mother/Father tasks. A baby born at the end or epilogue of the book makes the characters parents. A parent of a deceased child is still a parent, also.

We had books to cover 3 of the tasks. Just need a sword wielding character, and a mother.

To vanquish this monster you must:
1.) Read a book between 350 and 450 pages (inclusive).
2.) Read a book with CAVE in text.
3.) Read a book where a character uses a sword.
4.) Author name (first and last) contain all the letters in HERA
5.) Read a book where a MC is a mother
