Helloooooo District 2! The Capitol has a couple of books we're deciding between, but that won't affect you as they are Cupcakes for Christmas and Cupcakes & Christmas. I'll get something added to the spreadsheet while we're still deciding.

I will send them a Cupcakes/Christmas book so they can get started looking, and then Preeti and Kari can figure it out between them which one (maybe based on what comes next and if it's a good option for one of you guys.).

Let’s give Preeti, Patti, and/or Yasmine a bit to respond. Otherwise your books both look good. We have 4 spots left to fill.

No problem. We’ve done pretty well so far and can probably slow down a bit. I’ll do my best to make sure we get chances for everyone that wants to.

I sent Sky Without Stars to them about 6 hours ago.

The Capitol has decided to go with Sky Without Stars. I do apologize as we didn't realize it is the same letters as your first book. But maybe that means you have lots of options already identified?

Absolutely not. I check your thread frequently while you guys are picking a book! Think of it as speeding the process up because you can be already ready with options.

If no one has anything else, I think we should go with Melanie. I already have a book in the Battle and Sana has 2.

Kari, Preeti, Yasmine: Do any of you have anything else?

Melanie, if they don't have anything, which one would you rather read, keeping in mind their possible options in response?

ARS would give them Arson or Arsenal. They could probably find a romantic suspense/thriller.

ERS probably only gives them Erstwhile.

I actually have an ARD on my shelves, but there aren't many common words that start with ARD.

For ORN, they would probably have to find some odd Christmas Cozy Mystery that starts with Ornament or Ornamental.

Yes. But they can do In and then a word that starts with G. Like In God We Trust: All Others Pay Cash. Because subtitles don't count, that would leave us with UST, and we could do a title that starts with US and then a T word. Not that they would do that exact book, but it works as an explanation. :)

Apparently teams have ended up with ERE and LUB. Erection and Lube jokes ensued because not a lot of other words work there. :)

Moving right along! We've got half of our books figured out, but I expect we'll slow down once the weekend is over.

For SKY I have:

The Sky Beneath My Feet - this will probably force them to use FEET, which might turn around bad for us.
Sky Keeper - PER is a good option (I checked when they were considering one)
A Sky Beyond the Storm - not sure about ORM

ETA: ORM is not a good set of letters!
