Melanie, you’re good. That was one of the ones Yasmine had also posted. We were trying to be good because a had a thought the other day. I was thinking the last book would be easy because we didn’t have to worry about the final letters. Then it occurred to me how diabolical it would be for the mods to make us start with the last book of this battle for the next battle. And since we go first next time it could really mess us up!

Yes! Sorry. I should have posted but I had to drive my daughter to the airport at 3 in the morning so my brain is fried today.

We've got a couple of options. The reader is a co-captain, so when she's up and around she'll update the spreadsheet & post here what her choice is. The end of planning/start of battle is 5:00 a.m. for me, so she'll do it.

District 2 will post here in a bit, but they’re going with their LET option. I think Kari and Yasmine don’t have Battle books yet. Kari, do you have any options for this one, or do you want to wait for the next Battle next month?

Hmmm. Who’s reading the most for the Battle. If I pick that way, we could try to steal those 5 points by making it difficult for you guys to get all your books read. Maybe the super long Bleak House?

I marked A Letter to the Luminous Deep as started Reading yesterday, but I haven’t actually started it yet.

But just in case the Mods make us start the next battle from the last book of this one, I don’t think we want EEP!

In theory the Quarter Quells were planned when the Games were started. I doubt it occurred to them there might not be any.

But having read Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes I think it's more likely those were planned out after that 10th game. They didn't have the Victor's Circle houses and quite all the pomp and circumstance surrounding the games at first. But I also totally believe that Snow is capable of having switched cards.

Hello District 2! The Capitol will see your Man Hunt and make it Untraceable! I just found out that any books not picked before the start of the Battle won't count, so take your time, but not too much time!

(Just in case my weird sense of humor doesn't translate, we'll be reading Untraceable.)

I’m pretty sure the wallowing in depression comes in book 3.

All this hatred for Snow is funny. Don’t get me wrong. I hate him, too. But he’s only been on the page for 1 small scene. Everything else about him is Katniss’ feelings. I think all of us who are re-reading remember more than we realize. And/or we are affected by the movies and people’s comments in here. Because just going on Hunger Games and Catching Fire, no other books or influences, I don’t remember disliking him this much during my first read. That was saved for later.

I'm not seeing any completed books in Round 2 for you on the Round 1 tab. But I'm also not seeing any on the Round 2 tab. Your books not yet completed were moved to the Round 2 tab.

What have you completed so far this round?

If BOR would be better, we can switch our book without a problem.
