One Day Like This (there are multiple books with this title)

Hey Team! We have our opening book for the second Battle round. Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone. We go first this time, so we're looking for a title that starts with One.
Give us your best options. It's the weekend, so hopefully we can get through several rounds of the planning quickly.

Yes. July 16. We have a chart on the BOM tab on the spreadsheet.

That gives us lots of options in case things get busy for anyone!

Great! I saw a copy at my local used bookstore today and almost bought it. But then I remembered that while I enjoyed it, I'll never re-read it. :)

Yay!

Thinking about how to make it work for door in a creative way…
There is a scene where the MC is caught by a murd..."
They actually used it for their weapons pile, not their Supply pile. The sheet that is just named "Shelter" is the mini-challenge we're all working on right now. It's a little confusing because of the same names!
So we're looking for a book on the Round 1 or Round 2 tabs that is assigned to the Shelter resource. And we can make fit as a door.
ETA: Multiple teams read it, but most put it with their weapons. One put it on food. And none put it on Shelter. Bummer.

"A door into a new world opens for Gareth when his father, who abandoned him as a child, dies, leaving him the family title, a ..."
There are trees on the cover, which could be chopped down to make a door?

I'll have to ask in the captain's thread. It might be too much of a stretch. :)

Is this a quote from the book, or from the book's description. If it's a book quote, I think that might be stretching it too far. If it's from the book's description, I say we ask in the captain's group and see what everyone thinks.

Done

I read The Familiar, and I'm trying to think of a way to connect that one to a door. Maybe the chain on the cover to lock it?
@Carrie - anyway to connect Butcher & Blackbird to a door? I bet someone on some team has read it.

Is that the one you have currently reading? Did You Hear About Kitty Karr?? If so, and if you will finish it before the end of the mini, we can move Station Eleven to the open Science Fiction spot and put Kitty Karr into Literary Fiction.

It ends with the end of this round. Sometime in the early morning on the 15th. 5:00 am for me. There is a countdown on the Summary tab of the spreadsheet. 7 1/2 days left right now.

If you might not finish your book, please say something sooner rather than later so someone else can fill in for you!
We have 2 books that haven't been used in the mini yet. They both only fit the Thriller or Contemporary genres.

It's covered. Sana read one at the beginning that was put down for Romance, so I was able to swap and use one of our recently finished books that didn't have a spot yet. :)
