35559 Ummm... and how about strategically placed monthly tasks, like "books you need to read for a challenge"? ;)

35559 Thank you, Sana. :)

I have found carrot/lobster in Hogfather, so I added them as mini extras.

35559 Sophie,

to squeeze the 2x5 extra points from your The Warden book, I found potato + lobster, so added it to Feeding mini.😊

I have A Splendid Defiance on my TBR as I think it was mentioned by my Dorothy Dunnett loving GR friends, but will put The Parfitt Knight on my TBR, too. 😊

Oh, considering she was Hungarian, I should really pick something up about her. The HU materials I found less than satisfactory, so it would be really interesting to read about her from a non-HU POV. 😊

35559 And while we are asking for recommendations:

what would you recommend as a Christmas read? 😊

Thank you, Elizabeth. 🥰

The author Stella Riley has been on my radar for some time now, I should really try one of her books. 😊

35559 This is recycling, but I really loved it when the monthly task was to listen to a book those of us who participated in this challenge read/recommended. 🥰

Thank you for playing with us, Richard. It was lovely to have you on our team and throw all those books at us. 🤭🥰

How inconsiderate of those Romans not to wear pants or feeding Chipmunks. And they call themselves an Empire! SCOFFs! 🤭

And definitely agree with you on being an awesome Team. 🥰

I think the ones in historic German and Austrian cities are safe bets. Audrey can probably chime in the ones in France.

I would definitely recommend Vienna and Salzburg (which is one of my favourite places on Earth to be 🥰).
In Germany the market in Nuremberg is also gorgeous and should definitely be visited. 😊

35559 I'll be finishin my Annotated Emma with its 928 pages by tomorrow afternoon. I'll be sending son & hubby away for the day to be able to read in peace. :D

And on St Nicholas day, we just got our first snowfall for this winter (getting rarer all the time :( ) not much, but it was enough to stay on bushes, trees and rooftops and give a Xmas-postcard vibe.

Here in Hungary, the morning of Dec 6th is when children get small presents in their boots from Santa. On Xmas Eve it is Baby Jesus/Angels bringing the presents. :)

35559 With Karen's Thailand book, we also finished another set of feeding mini.

In case any of your books fits some task in a new round, we appreciate the extra points, but it's now really about page points mostly. 😊

35559 Hmmm, I really liked Much Ado About You by Eloisa James.

And two of my favourite comfort reads are The Grand Sophy by Georgette Heyer and

The Blue Castle by L.M. Montgomery
