I saw that you already finished Huckleberry Finn, so I set it as read and did the transfer. 😊

For the current itinerary I have finished the 3 compulsory mid-level books, so we are good to go with other levels. I'm in awe that you are all so willing to go for the hard level books. 😊
And on this note, I have finished Do Not Disturb: The Story of a Political Murder and an African Regime Gone Bad by journalist Michaela Wrong for Rwanda.
Certainly not an easy read and occasionally I have struggled with trying to follow the Rwanda (Uganda, DRC, etc) who-is-who, but it was an eye-opener and I'm glad I read it!

We have been very lucky until now. It is hot, but the nights are cool enough that we haven't had to use AC yet this summer. But for next week we have a heatwave forecast. 🥵

Maybe hate crime will be fitting as well. Need to read a bit further.

I'd suggest The Pendragon Legend, it is set in England (where Szerb spent some time) & Wales and is a fun, tongue-in-cheek collage of genres.
And if the transation is by Len Rix, go for it. I read that before giving it as a present to a friend in the UK, and he did a fantastic job with it.

🤭 He was great as Gandalf, but also as a narrator for The Odyssey.
I also loved him as Magneto. 🤭

5 stars (far from perfect, but I'm unashamedly biased)
I love author Antal Szerb, so why had I waited for 20 years to finish this one?? No idea. But thankfully it was one of those books that had been patiently waiting and waiting until its time came.
