If only you’d known about these challenges you could have snuck in a few sneaky little oddities 😀
I’m now annoyed that my books characters don’t have the right initials.

Great!
What's your book, Karen?

In case anyone is interested in a quick sweet romantic read, Lisa read one of my books for the last round in which the two leads are professional orchestral musicians. These are the others.
-Pop singer
orchestral bassoon player
orchestral violinist
orchestral cellist with RSI Black cover
All the above are on Kindle Unlimited.
professional violinist/pianist
Would it count if I read some? hehehe. I haven't read any of them since they were published over ten years ago.

Unless we are able to provide acceptable catalogue evidence that the word should be incl..."Great, thank you. Back into the drug addled riotous rock land of the 70’s. So many well-known names floating around in LA at the time. Some, like Jackson Browne are still going strong.

So is there any point reading the one about The Eagles, do you think if it doesn't count for the spell out? The title is a bit ambiguous. It's listed on GR as Dark Desert Highway but the cover has Eagles first.
Or can a book be used for the bonus and page count only?

My bonus books are non fiction so can I use people’s names or do I have to stick with title and author initials? Lady Sings the Blues credits Billie Holliday as co author but the one about The
Eagles doesn’t. I suppose Eagles is okay.
Finished my last round 4 book.

Definitely yes from me. They're professional musicians. No-one would say Elvis wasn't a musician. What are they if not?
That said there is the scathing old muso comment -- there are singers and musicians,

Well I've got 3 non fiction bio's lined up.
Prokofiev, translated by Miriam John who wrote Peter and the Wolf.
about Billie Holiday, jazz/blues singer
about The Eagles
Plenty more on our shelves if I have the stamina.

Hmmm. If I tick both boxes it's 48.1% black but without ticks it's over 70%. I never know what to do with those boxes.

I haven’t checked TinEye yet but my nearly finished book might be black.
The main character’s wife is a professional violinist and features in all the books. I’ll hold off finishing because it’ll give us more points for Bagpipes I think. If the wife counts, that is.

Very sad news, Fiona. So sorry to hear it.

My current book has electronic in it in relation to music but it needs A on the end doesn’t it?

Yuk--sounds nasty. There are some flu like things going around here at the moment as well as Covid. Similar symptoms. Nothing for it but to stay in bed.
Blue enough? It looks a bit greenish onscreen but it's definitely blue

I finished Washington Square last night. It's part of my 'read classic authors/ books' project. I'd never read any Henry James. It's a very intense, quite slow but riveting story of a daughter /father relationship and her would be suitor. I'll definitely read more of him.
Next I'm rereading a Georgette Heyer, last read when I was a teenager addicted to her books. My cousins had them all. What a delight she is.

I enjoyed the firs..."So you haven’t met Porson yet, Bill’s new boss. He’s the master of the mangled cliche such as “it’s not rocket surgery” and “a three lane circus.”

My husband finished a library book in the DI Bill Slider mystery series which we both love and I couldn’t resist starting it. Lo and behold on P 4 …spiritual.

My husband and kids are camping this weekend so I have the house to myself and can get some good reading ..."Years ago our elderly neighbour said the older they got the more spartan her husbands camping became and the more she preferred resort style holidays. Eventually he went off roughing it round Australia with friends and she had her comfortable hotels with her own friends. Haha. They were a delightful couple. We still miss them.

Blue! Should be interesting. It's part of an Icelandic crime series."
I've enjoyed the books I've read in this series including this one"I’ve just started it. Intriguing! This is from the library so I’ll see if they have the first of the series. It’s always harder to connect with character jumping in mid series.
