This is a great card. 3 Goodreads Awards books (which are super easy to find) for 5XP. I've moved it over to the planning tab. If you guys want to move the other ones over we can do that too. I just wasn't sure.

Alright, its done. Crossing my fingers for some good ones.

Did a little shuffling and found spots for all the above books.

I wouldn't mind discarding some cards and taking our chances with a fresh draw tomorrow morning. What do you all think? Obviously we're working on cards 1 and 3 but we could discard any or all the the remaining three and see what we get tomorrow.

Any book with a cat mentioned in the text. I personally hate tasks where you have to find a word in the text because I'm lazy about looking up the preview on amazon, but if you all want to attempt it, have at it! :p

I agree about not moving any of the higher books. I was taking a look at books 1-3 only. I figured that they wouldn't be hard to replace as someone is always willing to read those early books.

The only one I found so far is Cora's book The Serpent for animal in title.

EDIT: Royal Assassin (Ediali) and Silent Secrets (Shannon) have an animal on the cover.

I'm excited to start planning for some new cards. It was definitely time to get some going. Let me see what I have.

I wonder if we can move some of our un-submitted weapon books to fill any cards. Off to take a look.

Right now we don't have any cards to work on. We draw cards every morning until we have a total of 5. Then if we don't like any, we can discard them and wait until they're automatically replaced the next morning. So on the RPG Cards tab of the spreadsheet, you'll see that the spaces for cards 1, 2, 3 and 5 are blank. I discarded them because they didn't seem very good points-wise. Hopefully tomorrow morning we'll get some good ones to focus on.

In the mean time, we can always upgrade our weapon, so any series books you read will find a use there. The only # we don't need right now is #2 in a series. It seems we have a good number of those right now.

There is some discussion from the mods about dropping the Tournament portion of Emerge the Victor. Many teams seem to think this is a good idea, as a lot of teams are in very different places, level-wise and many of us enjoy playing against the game rather than against another team.

I agree with this as I never really understood how these tournaments were going to work exactly (was planning on trying to figure it out once they started) and I like the little community we've made within our team thread here. I think its more fun to challenge ourselves than to try to match up to another team.

There is talk of having a new aspect added to make up for the points that would have been possible if there was a tournament, like some sort of "boss" monster to beat.

Team feedback is welcome. How do you guys feel about the tournament being dropped? Is there anyone who was really looking forward to it and will be disappointed if it doesn't happen?

Since no one is around, I'm going to make an executive decision to discard cards 1, 2, 3 and 5 (everything except the year one we're almost finished with).

Yes, for now, reading series books is the best strategy. If they fit on a card somewhere they can be moved around, but if not at least they work for upgrading our weapon.
