The first book is kind of dark and the heroine goes thru all kind..."Becky have you read her books where she writes as Mira Grant? I haven't read the Seanan McGuire books but I really liked her Newsflesh Trilogy.

I think 10 experience points on a spell-it out should be a pretty simple task, I just never kno..."Ok I gave it a shot and added the first 3 cards to our planning sheet. If we decide we don't want to do any of them, we can just delete them.
I agree we should work on some cards. I'm running out of series books and would like to read a stand-alone or two if possible. The last time I tried to move cards to the planning sheet, it got all weird and some of the cells changed colour and I got freaked out. So I haven't been messing with it since then.
Good luck Becky with your health insurance hunt. I hope you can find something reasonable. Your country's health care system scares the crap out of me to be honest.Minx, sorry to hear that things are being difficult.
As I'm sitting on the couch crying my eyes out and sneezing like crazy due to my blocked and painful sinuses, I can relate on the "life kicking your butt" feeling right now.
The Genre Minx wrote: "so what should I be focusing on right now?"I think in the last discussion we were thinking of focusing on leveling up our weapon a couple more times. I just submitted Level 7, but there are several more books needed to complete the next couple of levels.
Yup, the card will stay there until we defeat it or discard it. No rush.We can use your #5 to finish off weapon Level 7.
Ok I seem to not be getting notifications again. SighI've updated the spreadsheet with current claims
Fought the Plush Zombie (we didn't lose any health)
Submitted Card 1, which was ready to go
Fought the Big Heart (we lost 8 health points)
Our Health Points are sitting at 22 now, so unless we use some potions we're not strong enough to fight the newest monster: Logophilic Lemur
Well I startted reading my book and didn't want to stop. So Point of Retreat is done. Next will be This Girl
My status update is that I'm still working on Point of Retreat and I'm only about 50% done. I fell asleep almost immediately after dinner and have been feeling like crap all week. I'm sure I'll finish tomorrow, then I'll probably start #3 in the series right after.
Ediali wrote: "I really tried, guys, but I really cant make myself finish The Monstrumologist I still have 3/4 of the book to go and I'm already tired of "Snap to, Will Henry. Snap to!" on every pa..."No problem Ediali I'll take it off the list and add your new one.
Oh. Well I don't know then Shannon. I do figure things out in the spreadsheet occasionally just by experimenting but I'm certainly no expert.
Shannon wrote: "I can't add them to the EBank tab."If you look below the last line in the tab, there's a button to add however many more rows you want. The default is 1000 but I usually change it to 10 or so.
I DID like Vision in White actually and can't wait to get to the rest of the series. It was technically my first Nora Roberts (writing under her own name anyway. I've read a dozen of her J.D Robb books).
I know her books are romance but its funny I have the same thought for both of these series: to me the romance was the least interesting part, lol.
For the In Death books, I just love seeing her get so involved with her cases and the cast of secondary characters. I mean I like Roarke, don't get me wrong, but the romance is not front and centre for me. And in this one, I felt like the running of the wedding business and the relationiship between the four women was the star of the book, even more so than the love story.
I agree about discarding card 2 and keeping card 5. As for the other two, it doesn't matter to me either way. They should be easy to fill, but we may be better off concentrating on series books. Still lots of spaces to fill there. So whatever the team wants to do is fine with me.
