Well I wouldn't want to move those books over unless someone is working on another grey book. I only checked the finished books, not any in-progress ones.
Not sure if we want to pilfer from almost finished cards, but just putting it out there that our new card needs 3 silver/grey covers and one gold.
--> gold
--> greyMaybe we'd be better off completing cards that are 5xp for 4 books (1.25xp/book), than the category that is 13xp for 12 books (1.08xp/book).
You guys have been reading specifically for that category though, so I'll let you make the call.
Ok, our most efficient option right now is to level up by finishing as many cards as we can, that way our leftover potions will give us more points, so I'll wait and see how that goes. If we're not going to make it, we'll see where we're at in the evening.Keep reading team! We're in 5th place and doing great!
So just to let you guys know, I fought a couple more bosses, to get us enough XP to go up another level. So we're sitting at 946xp. We need 1000 xp to get to the next level which will give us more points. If we don't think we will get there, it would be better to just use our books to trade in for gold and potions, which will give us some points at least, because we don't get points when we complete cards, only when we go up levels.
I'm not sure how best to strategize. If we did all the cards we currently have, that will bring us to 981, so still not close enough.
I could try to fight another boss, but there are only 2 left and they will be tough to beat, so I'm not sure if they're worth it. We do have 11 shield potions and a fair amount of gold that we could cash in for various potions though so we could probably give it a go.
What do you guys think?
Good morning team!I am in denial that this challenge is ending and would love to play a team challenge with you guys again. I am part of other groups that have lots of challenges, but this group has the best team ones. Plus the insane spreadsheet always make them way more fun.
I'm going to discard this card, even though it would be pretty easy because it only gives ONE xp per book, while all our other cards give more than one. I think we should focus on those ones.
Going to read a short-ish book (for me, I don't think I have any books under 200 pages) The End of Boys published in 2011
Just finished Away from the Dark. Trying to organize my feelings so I can write a review since I got it from Netgalley, but I have so much adrenaline after finishing that I don't know what to say. This duology was incredible!
No worries Minx, thanks for reading so much for the team. Without you, we wouldn't be anywhere near where we are.
Sounds good. I did a bit of shuffling so we could submit the card and moved my book to weapons planning.
I'm removing my book from Level 15 #2 since I haven't even started it yet, and also Margaret's book, since we haven't heard from her and she mentioned she was on vacation. Once we have books for those spots we can just move them in. I'm working on Away from the Dark which is also #2 in a series so if there is a finished book that can be used for "A" it can go there and we can finish off the card.
Hey Becky! Looks like the finished books are just rolling in this morning.I was doing some thinking about strategy last night. I agree we should try to finish Level 15 in weapons planning, and then focus on finishing as many cards as we can. Once we have our weapon up to 25 attack power, it will help with fighting bosses, which gives us the edge we need to level up as much as we can before the end.
The Genre Minx wrote: "Question, if a book is 1.5 in a series will it still count as a #1 in weapons planning? thanks"Hi guys! 1.5, etc books do not work for series books.
Ok Boss #4 is down, and we got 100xp for it. We're 9xp away from levelling up. Hopefully Vicky and the other captains will come weigh in on strategy, but I think that after we complete Card 5, we should look at doing Weapon Level 15.
LOL, why do these repeat cards keep happening.Ok team we need to come up with a strategy. What do we think we can complete before the end of the game. We have to decide what to focus on. We don't get points for every card we complete, only when we go up a level for either hero or weapon. So if we're not going to complete a level, there's no point in doing cards. Once we complete Card 5 we'll be just under 100 points from completing our next hero level. If we can beat a boss worth that, we can level up. Then we may want to focus on levelling our weapon one more time.
I don't know if we should try to push to finish weapon level 15? It would mean finishing several more high series books. If we don't do it though we have to find spots for those books on cards.
The Genre Minx wrote: "So many options.....What is our strategy now that we are coming to the end of Wobble? Do we have one? We focusing on cards? Should I keep reading? lol"Sigh, I don't know. I've just been updating as books come in, moving things around to get cards submitted, and fighting bosses when I can come up with a good strategy. My brain hasn't accepted that we're almost done. I feel like this game will just go on forever so I haven't given much thought to endgame strategy.
Yup, discarding this one. It doesn't give us any good potions, so I think we should save our HP for bosses.
Moved some books around so we could submit Card 1. This way if we get a new card that we don't like, it can be discarded before the re-draw in a couple of minutes.
