I selected chatty too! We're still working on Redcaps ..."I selected chatty as well - the best thing about TT was the chatting :)

Hi all, I have recently finished
The Martian and really enjoyed the book. I am looking for something of a similar vein, that is - something that is Sci Fi but not a space opera type of sci fi. Any recommendations?

I know!!!!!!

I hope so :)

Yay, all signed up for Wheel-a-thon. Now I've just got to be patient until the 22nd March!

Phew, completed with less than two hours to spare!

Phew, I just went through and organised my reading list for March. Much better than last months ad hoc reading and the anal retentive in me really enjoyed it :)
Cut and Run is at the top of my list and has already been purchased, just waiting for March 1st :)
V Audio Nerd wrote: "Cut & Run series is fab, my first M/M book too, I was quite scared before I started it,but loved it.
Rock Chick gets better as the books go on, I was totally hooked by the 2nd, and believe it or n..."I will definitely give the second one a go - sometimes it could just be the headspace I am in at the time of reading. I hate to give up on a series without giving it a really good go, especially if my GR buddies like it :)

wow, I didn't even know you could get lendable books! I have a Kobo rather than a Kindle, so I don't think I would be able to read them even if they were lendable. Luckily they are pretty cheap anyway, so I'll buy the first one and see how it goes :) I will keep in mind the first book is the weakest (which they often are, lets face it!). As an added bonus the first book will fit into one of Stacie's March Challenge tasks :)

Hmm, looks like the eReader version is quite a lot cheaper so I think I will go with that :) I am excited to start the series now - although I will have to wait until March 1st so I can finish my February challenges.

lol.. well how can I not read them now! How are they as an Audible or should I just eReader them?

I like series with lots of books already published as there is nothing worse than getting a couple of books into the series and then having to wait a year for the next one. Looks like Ty and Zane will be going onto my list of series reads :)

Hmmm, what are this Ty & Zane books you speak of? I may have to add them to my TBR list :)
On a sadder note, I am afraid I can't join you ladies on the Rock Chick love-in. Indy is doing my head in and Lee is slowly but surely driving me up the wall. However, I oddly want to try out the next book (after a break, so my opinion is not freshly tainted with the first one) to see if I enjoy the next one better - maybe this author and her characters need to grow on me? :)

Ha ...I wish it was two books but it's two books in two challenges - so four books short for the month on what I needed, plus I have to finish the three I am currently reading over the next two days. I am just so anal and I hate not having my monthly challenges finished on time! Thankfully the extension 'gift card' solves my problem :D
Is it sad that I am excited to be planning my reading for the next month so this doesn't happen again.... Maybe I need to post on the challenge addicts thread ;)

Well February is a challenge fail for me! I am going to have to use two extension gift cards on two different challenges. I think I better start planning now for next month so I don't find myself in the same position :)

Ok, well I will keep going then - I can see why you might have wanted to slap Indy a few times :)

i don't know what it is but I am struggling with Rock Chick. I feel like I am missing something because everyone seems to love it - is it one of those things where the books get much better as they go along?
