Novel Kingdom is a small kingdom on the edge of Lake Lexicon. It is ruled by the benevolent Queen Skye.
In the forest just outside Novel Kingdom lives a little very bad goblin. This little goblin only receives coal in his stocking due to his hi-jinks and tomfoolery. He decides that he wants to steal all the joy of Christmas from Novel Kingdom so everyone is just as grumpy. He sneaks up to the North Pole and sabotages Santa's whole operation!
HELP SAVE CHRISTMAS!
For each quest you complete you not only help towards saving Christmas for all of Novel Kingdom's citizens but you also receive shiny golden coins to store in your treasure chest. Books with a date read of December 2, 2014, to January 30, 2015 may be used to complete these quests. Each book may only count towards one completion criteria. Each quest may only be completed once for coins.

Cleaning Out the TBR Closet 2018
Duration: 1/1/2018 - 12/31/2018
Progress: 4 out of 4
In 2016 I started this challenge because I joined Goodreads in 2012, and still had books on my "to read" shelf from back then. They just stared at me... mockingly... asking me when I'm going to either read them or remove them from my shelf...
So in 2016 I cleaned out the closet and read or deleted all the books I have left on my TBR that I added in 2012.
It gave me a real kick in the pants to get those old books read, so I did it again in 2017 and didn't *quite* reach my goal. So let's try again in 2018.
Would you like to join me?
This reading challenge is simple...
>sort your "to read" shelf by date
>pick the books that you are going to read which have been on your list the longest and set yourself a goal. You may decide to read all of your books from the oldest year, or you may just take the oldest 20, or 50, or 5 books on your list. Completely up to you how you set your goal and how many books you read!
I would appreciate it if you post your thoughts on the books once you finish them. Was it worth waiting for? :)
Books added to my TBR in 2009
1. Foundation by Isaac Asimov - *** - 6/12/2018 - 244 Pages
2. Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire - **** - 6/16/2018 - 406 Pages
3. Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen - ***** - 9/9/2018 - 304 Pages
4. The Princess Bride by William Goldman - **** - 10/24/2018 - 398 Pages
