YEAH! Don't you love it when you get a book you just can't stop reading?

35559 I can finish Above All Things, published March 6, 2012, for that goal. I may be able to grab a book published on the 29th in a day or two, also. Since Elderwan has a couple of others to get before then. Who ever finishes first is fine by me. :)

35559 I've started a book published on the 6th, if we don't come up with an already finished one.
35559 Carry On, Jeeves (Jeeves, #3) by P.G. Wodehouse 245 pp
The Jackal's Head by Elizabeth Peters 256 pp Total: 501

35559 I finished Carry On, Jeeves, which I guess had beetroot in it. (Thrush Green, which I read earlier, had it, too.) I also finished The Jackal's Head (which has camels and donkeys, among other things).

If the book that was made into a movie in Europe isn't ready, surely MacBeth has been made into one. I just throw it out as a possibility. The faster we check off goals the better. :)

Sounds like you have a clever and talented daughter. :)

35559 I've finished Misreading Scripture with Western Eyes Removing Cultural Blinders to Better Understand the Bible by E. Randolph Richards , first published July 31, 2012, for that goal.

It was good for me to give it an initial read, so when I need to go back into it I'll have the framework already in my head. Glad to help. :)

35559 I have a non-fiction book I need to read for work that fits. It's only about 240 pp, so I can do the first read -through tonight, or at least finish it sometime tomorrow. Misreading Scripture with Western Eyes: Removing Cultural Blinders to Better Understand the Bible. I've added it to my shelf in case.

Paper Towns is #103!"

Congrats Melissa on being clairvoyant. I almost started a "G" book last night, as I need one for another challenge, but I decided not to. Fortunately when the goal came up here today somebody else had it. :)

35559 I finished reading Thrush Green by Miss Read , and also uploaded my first book cover to GR. I love the cover of this book and couldn't find it anywhere, so I had to scan it, thus it's a bit wonky. But it's fun to see on GR till someone comes along and does a better job.

ETA - Doesn't fit a current goal.

My Dad used to talk about being taken to a play when he was little. It was MND, and probably the first play he'd ever seen. This was before TV, etc., and he grew up on a farm in rural Colorado, so it all would have been strange to him. When Bottom ends up with a donkey's head it scared Dad so much he said he couldn't sleep. He used to joke about how scary Shakespeare was because of that. Dad's gone but I have fond memories of his chuckle as he told the story. :)

35559 I'm reading one where a character runs the general store. If no one else has already finished one or has one first. Doctor in Petticoats

I expect I can have it finished tomorrow, if we need it.
