Awesome! At this point you know only the really tough words are left. :)

35559 Finished A Kiss for Julie for "starts with K".

Pathetic title - I grabbed the book off the library shelves just for the "K" title and the story turned out to be kind of cute.

35559 I finished All Roads Lead Home, 288 pages, for "Road in title".

I'm working my way through Romans and can pick up a book that starts with "K" if we still need it.

Read a historical fiction novel that is based on real events"

Catherine's A Morbid Taste for Bones should work for that. "Abbot Heribert and Prior Robert Pennant were indeed officers of Shrewsbury Abbey in 1137, and Prior Robert wrote a history of the translation of Saint Winifred to the Abbey. He was a real historical figure who eventually rose to Abbot of Shrewsbury in 1148. The History of the Shrewsbury Abbey includes the acquisition of the relics of Saint Winifred in 1138." Which is the plot of the book. The author gives historical details at the end of it, if I remember. (The quote comes from Wikipedia, but I can vouch that it's accurate.)

It's a great series. I hope Catherine likes it. :)

That's definitely disapproving of a relationship. lol

35559 Also, I need to tackle Reading Romans in Context: Paul and Second Temple Judaism this week. Which will work for "Read a book that appeals to your mind; where you learn something new". If someone else doesn't get there first. I haven't started it yet so I have no idea how quickly it will go.

35559 Annika wrote: "perhaps we shold look into the goals >one week old and considet boons for them?"

At this point I think we might as well use a few boons. Why not?

I honestly don't care who wins this challenge, but it's great fun finding books that fit the goals. :)

35559 I'm reading books with "Road" and "Job" in the titles. It's Job like in the Bible, not work, but since that doesn't matter... :)

Two tough goals, Karen. Good job! I gave up on trying to fit goals to books I really wanted to read and just read one I wanted. Then discovered it had "arbalest" in it. lol So by chance or design we are plowing through. :)

I had the same issues till I tried listening to books I already knew and liked. That way if I missed a bit it didn't matter. Now I always have one or two audio books going.
