Ugh, I'm finding it hard to get into Strange the Dreamer. I gobbled up Daughter of Smoke & Bone. Though this book is as beautifully written, there is just something that it lacks. Hopefully, it will pick.

I don’t have a genre preference – biography, ..."I thought X and Why: The rules of attraction: why gender still matters was an interesting introduction to gender and sex. It doesn't answer any questions but it doesn't seek to, just present some food for thought.
Just finished my first book of the challenge. I knew this challenge would get me reading. I'm so glad I joined up and my first book was a good'un. Neanderthal Seeks Human was so sweet and sexy, though light on the sex, four stars. I've started and should hopefully finish Strange the Dreamer in the next day or two. It's quite thick.

Could we consider this Task 52, "Text only on cover"?"
Yeah Ashlee...thank you for breaking the mold with our first book..."
For text only, I would go for the ones you posted even if there is a list of text only covers because then there's no debate.
My recommendations areThe Cruel Prince - ya/fantasy
The White Tiger - fiction/contemporary/India
The Death of Bees - ya/contemporary/fiction
Finding Master Right - bsdm/erotica/romance
The Big Sleep - classic/noir crime

Oooh, thanks for the link. I'll definitely check it out.

That's how quidditch was for me. Terrible romance books. Just, ugh.

I don't think that it's the translation, some of the friends are just not very nice.
Eldarwen wrote: "If you can get your hands on the Studio Ghibli adaptation of this book, I highly recommend it! It is loosely based on the book but does a wonderful job of telling a beautiful story."I love studio ghibli. We have nearly all of them. My daughter loved them in her childhood. One of the first movies my daughter saw at the cinema, not as a baby, was the Cat Returns. It began her and our love for Studio Ghibli
Hi all this is my third (I think) wheel. My local libraries and bookstores are still closed, so I can only get ahold of five feet apart and I'm on tge waiting list. Hopefully it will be available soon but not too soon.My fave genres are urban fantasy, paranormal fantasy and, well, anything except true crime. Though I do have I'll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman's Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer waiting in the wings.
I'm currently reading All the Light We Cannot See, Catch-22 and listening to Homegoing. My aim is to finish these before we start. I had vowed not to take part in any group challenges this year, but with how it's turning out, I think any plans or ideas I had for the year are out the window.

I have read, and therefore removed, nine books from my tbr that are over two years ago old, but only one was listed here. So I'm might just count all of them.
And I'll increase my listed options.

Think I'll add more.

I'm trying. I needed a book with a pig on the cover, which is how I ended up reading the Book of Three. Maybe what I should do is have a wider pool of books to choose from. I have only listed twenty. Maybe I should list fifty and still aim for twenty.
Lol I have just finished my first book!!! I have 5 others waiting in line but they keep getting bumped. It's what happened to me last year too. But I'm going to start my next one, even if I have to put it down for other challenges. I'm going to get twenty read this year.Book #1 The Book of Three ★★★ - Sweet, silly little adventure. If I had read it in my youth I would probably have carried on. As it is, I'm glad I read it, as it's a modern children's classic but that's it.
Utopia next.
I only managed 10 different countries in a year 😭😭😭But this challenge did get me to finally read The Traitor's Niche and it was well worth the wait.
Thanks for the challenge.
