Harmon uses some real life characters to build her story around.

Well done, that's some serious reading. I felt good reading one book every three days.😆😆
Sammy wrote: "My library has a whopping 11 audiobooks on overdrive. I've read 5 of them, three are books 2, 3 & 4 in a series, but they don't have book 1, and the rest I have no interest in.I'm not bitter abou..."
That's terrible. I thought my library was bad.
Got my second old book in Romancing the Null. It was a freebie from back in 2016. It was ok. If the authors finds the right tone, I can see this series getting better. But there are so many books out there that I'm not sure i want to possibly waste time and money finding out.
I finished my last Karina Halle book. I've read three and not liked any of them, so I've deleted all the others of my list, which was about six. So I'm feeling good.
Sophie wrote: "Good luck Karen! Hopefully there aren't too many of them still lurking.Yay Keli, glad you found a good one.
I'm currently making no progress on this, but sure it will happen eventually."
Thanks.
And it's only day six of 2021, so you've got plenty of time to get going.
Yay my first tbr clean out of 2021. I finished Confessions of a Failed Southern Lady, I can’t believe I put it of fr so long. Funny, touching, intelligent and sharp, well worth the read, especially if you're a woman.
I'm already on the S/S but i need to claim a spot.I've made 50 my goal but I'm going to do this in 5 book chunks.

This is a great idea. Think I'll do this too.
I'm proud of my 57%. I have faith that next year I will definitely make 100%. I've sorted my fundraising pages, posted on Facebook and Instagram, even got my first donation, so I'm in for my charity read. I think with 125 books slated for 2021, I will smash this challenge.Well done everyone who has reached their goals.

Luckily I have already read Lavinia and some de Bodard but all the rest are now "want to read." 😂😂

I felt the same way about. Just another cliché YA. I gave it two stars. It does have a gorgeous cover though.
Vicki Willis wrote: "How does reading for charity work Keli?"It will involve a lot of updates on social media. I'm going to post weekly reviews, ratings and a picture of the books I’ve read and whether I'm ahead, behind or on track to achieve my goal. I've also created a two novella a month max rule, all the rest of the books have to be more than 125 pages. That's pretty much it I’ve made my Instagram public so anyone can follow along and ask questions if they want.
I'm up for any of them except Monte Cristo as I read that in French. It was for a French literature class, I didn't just decide to make a tome even harder. It was fantastic but it was such an effort I don't think I could it again. And I'm not keen on the Mists of Avalon. I know it's a seminal piece of fantasy but I can’t. She was weird and I think that will affect how I read it.Otherwise, I will attempt to join you if it’s any other.
I'm going to read 125 books next year for charity but will hopefully be able to fit in a few chunky ones. I was thinking of doing Kushiel's Dart, which isn't a classic, yet. But it will all depend on how quick i am with "normal" sized books. This year I've read 73 books and at least two of those were dnfed, so this is definitely going to be a challenge. Fingers crossed I can join y'all.
Yet again I haven't done great on this challenge but I always appreciate it cos it does get some books off my tbr. I may get a few more but defo not 30. There's always next year. Please tell me you're doing this again next year?
Ok I'm going to say this is a completed challenge for me. I was hoping to get all the tasks completed but I'm going to have to be happy with 44/49 and 12/15 princesses. I started this back in 2017 and have achieved the highest level of required books but 2021 is my year to start fresh. Thanks for this challenge. It was fun and way trickier than I thought it was going to be
