All done.

35559 Sorry when I filled in the bits for decolonial love it wouldn't save. The green line just going at the top like it was saving. I had to force quit. Hopefully it will work for me this time. 😬

35559 Finally read The Three-Body Problem. I originally started it back in 2018 but for whatever reason didn't get past page 50. I'm really glad I kept it on my tbr and didn't just dnf it. Though it is science heavy, it's a great story. I am looking forward to the rest but i think I'll put a little space between readings. 3.5 roundee to 4.

I kind of felt the same way about the ending. I think I may have enjoyed the book a bit more than you but that might also have had something to do with what else I was reading at the same time.
I've posted my review below
Review- I'm currently reading The Book of Night Women which is brilliant but hard, very hard. So I needed to take a break from the trauma and read something lighter, like a story about a Nigerian female serial killer.🤣 I'm only half joking because it really did do a good job of bringing a bit of levity. Though My Sister has some very heavy themes, it is told in such a way that it doesn't weigh down your soul. It was fantastically entertaining. It was cool and young. It was a fun read which is pretty impressive because it's ultimately a story about how sisters survive abuse. Take five or six hours and give this a read.

That was me with the legendary characters task. I just put the name of the character in the spot where the task description was because it had a question mark.

35559 I've got Mort which I will start reading this weekend. I'm also reading The Three-Body Problem (Remembrance of Earth’s Past #1) by Liu Cixin and The Killing Moon (Dreamblood, #1) by N.K. Jemisin which both have full moons prominent on the cover. So might work for E6.

35559 Thank you to whoever listed the justifications for the tasks! Would you like a bit more info? For example, one is for a neurodiverse character do i need to explain how they are neurodiverse? Or is it just enough to claim it so?

35559 Thanks Megan, that helps. Even though I read the instructions I didn't catch the MPG bit and therefore didn't realise we could be rather broad in our approach. I was literally still stuck on covers. I'll have a look at mine again.

35559 Yay another one. The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton was pretty decent. If anyone has this one on their lists, I highly recommend.

35559 I'm finding it really hard to narrow down just five tasks. I'm trying to pick the least common or possibly harder ones to use but it's kind of hard to say.

If anyone has The Pull of the Stars on their tbr, I recommend it. Every time I see the timepiece/watch task I think of it. It's a quick and good read.

Is that the one where she gets kidnapped? I know that the bond gets broken or goes silent but I don't really remember more.

Congrats, Keli! The Mercy Thompson series is one of my favorites."

Thank you. It's such a good series. I thought I'd reread it before I got Smoke Bitten

35559 Woo-hoo I have finally read a book I bought 13 years ago! Every year since the purchase, I had intended to read it and every year I had put it off and been slightly disappointed with myself. But there will be no more slight self-flagellation because I have crossed The Seal Wife off my list. Sadly, it wasn't as good as I had hoped. On to the next.

35559 I read My Sister, the Serial Killer and really enjoyed it. I listened to the audio and I can highly recommend.

I also removed a book from 2016 off. I started to read The Key to Creation, the third of the trilogy and I couldn't gey past the recap. It's not a small book and I just couldn't be bothered. So onward to better books for me.

35559 I didn't know how many to recommend, so i just recommended all the four and five star books I've read so far this year.
