Keli’s comments from the Nothing But Reading Challenges group.

So far out of 50 books I've removed 4 and read five. Only two have prove to be worth waiting for The Child Thief and Kindred, both really interesting well told stories. Though I only gave The Child Thief three stars, it wasn't due to lack of quality or narrative, it just wasn't my thing. I really enjoyed Kindred. When people talk about where they'd go if they could go back in time, my answer is always the same, I wouldn't. As a woman and a person of colour, no time in the past is a good time for me. And I think Octavia Butler captured the peril and powerlessness perfectly.
The other three books have just been meh. I read Poison and it was a fun entertaining read but it was good enough to make me part with money for the other two.
I hope the others are better.

If I can get Naamah's Curse finished by Sunday night, it's quite long, I can get the N too.

Sz2 complete. I just posted.
I can get the letters I or A withClean Sweep. I should have it done tomorrow evening about this time. I don't get much chance to read until after work.

I'll have it done by tomorrow night, it's only about 200 pages.

I have to read poison which applies Read a book with a skull or other poison logo on the cover and that contains the word POISON in the text which can apply to sz2.

And then I'll start poison for sz2.

I'm a little bit behind. I was reading Twenty thousand and turns out that letter was for N. Doh! But i still need to read it anyway. I'll have Guernsey finished by tonight for the S.

if we go to sz2 can I read for "Read a book with a skull or other poison logo on the cover and that contains the word POISON in the text" I checked ny book and it works.

My husband is away for a whole month, so I don't have to do anything but read and walk the dog. So I can get through way more books.

I have to read 20,000 Leagues and Guernsey, both of which work but 20,000 only works for S snd N. I'll read it anyway and we can use it or not. I should have them done by tomorrow night or Monday morning.

Cool, then Guernsey can work for I and fit the book read by another team requirement.

The word is in the text.
The skull and crossbones is pretty much the only poison logo, so when it said other poison logo I tried to think outside the box.

One last thing, I have to read 20000 Leagues Under the Sea for another challenge was and this book was used by another team abd has a character that works for N and P

I haven't checked the text yet. Thought I'd ask about the title, just in case. If you're willing to accept the poison bottle, I'll check the text.

Would the title page count as "in the text," and would work for Read a book with a skull or other poison logo on the cover and that contains the word POISON in the text?

Also, for sz2 I have , which might work for option 3.

Should we consider our book limit when deciding on whether we go with sz1. I think we'll get more points if we go for it but that's only a guess. I haven't actually looked at the math.
