I think I will use a couple of our travel agent books and finish off that card.

With Berit's butterfly book we could finish that one, too.

So now they scrapped the tournaments. We will be given the option to fight big boss monsters instead. There was too much discrepancy in the levels between teams so some captains raised concerns.

I did get an answer back about the levels. The experience for cards/monsters levels our HP and the book series levels our weapon for attack. According to the answers I got, we don't get a bump to attack for each level. I guess that is why those series reads are so important!!

Louise, I asked your stats question in the captain's group. Let's see what they say.

I got your first book in and once you are done with the other one we just need Sam's book for that card.

Do you think we should keep cards 3 & 5? They both require 4 books but only give us 2 experience?

On the bright side, they are both fairly easy tasks to complete.

Yes, but add the #4 and we will use that. No worries. I just thought it was weird that you skipped #4 and I wasn't sure if you needed it. I have all of these on audio.

Berit, did you read #4 in Agatha Raisin? It has all of the numbers but 4 on the sheet.

We still need a #9 in series to complete our level 9 weapon, and a #7-#10 for level 10.

Time to take on that monster! BRB.

Found a short #8 and #9 in my Calibre. I should be able to get those finished and posted tonight.

I have one with like 6 ratings that I will finish this morning. Looks like the rare task card will be done soon!

Those cats seem tough. Keep it or discard?

Finishing either card 3 or 4 will bump us to level 4.

I submitted what we have and we are doing great. We are close to finishing two more cards and should get another card in the morning.
Needed to complete level 9 for the weapon:
#6 and #9 in series (take a look at the sheet for future series needs)
Louise's square book will finish card 3, and then Louise and Sam's books will finish card 4. (Also need justifications for those books so I have it to submit)

I have to go back to work. But I would love one of you forever if you can go through the travel agent book list and see if any of the books posted from 10/10 onward can be used for one of the open tasks. If you find something, please put on the planning sheet for me.

We get 20 travel agent books for this event. Let's use them!

That game was so amazing! Let's see if we can keep that momentum tonight. My friend at work is a huge Dodger fan so we have been enjoying some good natured banter about it. But it's got to be our year!

Berit, since we seem to be easily finding lower series reads, I am going to use your three Agatha Raisin books for the tasks. Quiche for Q, the other 2 for cats. I have 3 cat books too. 2 more to go!

Ok, it's decided. I'll dump the duplicate task. Let's fill in those holes with planned reads and knock out the other tasks then.

We also need a #6 in series to finish the level 8 weapon.

What do you think about dumping the cat task card? We might get a monster tomorrow to replace it.

Leaving work in a little bit and I'll get everything updated. My daughter got invited to homecoming so I will be helping her get ready but will be around tonight.

I am leaning towards keeping the cat task because I know I have 50 books with cats in them easily, and they are fast reads.

What do you all think about discarding card 5 with the duplicate tasks and taking a chance to get an easy monster card tomorrow?
