35559 One hour until the start!!

For event 1. Lots of Murder titles. I love cozy mysteries. I tried to list ones that might have a match.
Murder at the Vicarage (tough one, I know)
Murder on the Orient Express (also a long shot)
Murder in the Cathedral
Murder Game
Murder List
Murder Is Easy
Murder on the Mind
Murder Past Due
Murder Most Royal
Murder on a Girls' Night Out
Murder in the Dark
Murder to Go

Put me wherever needed for event 2. I can do the final leg of heat 1 if you want (251-300) and whatever for the others. I have a 416 pager I want to read, a 320, a 400, and a 260. Among others, so wherever is fine. Just tell me and I'll find something.

Event 3: I have The Iron King for heat 2.

Event 4: I will help somehow.

Event 5: I have LOTS of animal covers. And I can see what else I have to fit that event. Probably have a knife on cover, and just tell me if you need me to go on a specific cover hunt for us.

35559 Hi everyone. Just stopping by on my lunch. I work until after 1am on Fridays so my schedule is crazy.

I will take a look at the other events in detail tomorrow and then weigh in.

As far as building off Morgan's books, I have Grave Peril and Grave Secrets. Or Protect and Defend.

It was! Yesterday it flooded everywhere for an hour or so and it hailed. Sunny skies and hot right now, though.

35559 Got it, Shelby! We should be all set.

Remember that anything you read between now and the start of Olympics may be able to be used during Wheel-a-thon, in case you can't resist reading over the next 12 hours. Sadly, I will be at work until 2am so no reading for me.

35559 That's it for Battleship, everyone! I just need your final books shelved on your Wobble shelf with the date read so I can finalize our sheet.

Greta will be kicking off Olympics for us in about 12 hours! See you on the other side. :)

35559 I have books that start with Murder that I can read after Audrey if she chooses A Cold Day for Murder.

35559 Shelby, if you see this, your last book posted isn't pulling to the spreadsheet. It might need the date read to be posted? Or maybe just added to your wobble shelf?

I've had it for a long time but somehow never started it. I'm excited to start a new series on Saturday!

35559 Finished my final Battleship book!

Any last minute books out there that I need to be aware of? I would hate to miss out on the points, although we can hold them back for Wheel-a-thon maybe.

35559 Got it, Shelby! Nice job knocking out those tasks.

Hey, Shelby--I think it isn't on your Wobble shelf yet. It isn't pulling into the spreadsheet.

35559 All books have been placed for Battleship, but we have two remaining that will have to wait until Wheel-a-thon since we can't use prior read books for Olympics.

I think I can knock out one final shorty before work and the deadline, so that will leave one carry-over book that doesn't work for any of our categories. I will continue to check throughout the day since I work my late shift on Friday nights. About the time I get home to sleep is when the Olympics kick off for us, but I plan to knock out at least two of my first books before Sunday morning.

Looking forward to the next event. Nice work, everyone!

35559 I will read She's My Wildfire: Coming Out Lesbian Romance Novel tonight since we need something to pair it with and there isn't much left. That way we can use it for double author letter. It's under 200 pages and that still gives me time to finish NOS4A2.

I asked for a librarian to add the page numbers for the first one! Let's hope someone can fix it for us.
We can use nevermore for the I-10 task, and Special Delivery for romance. Did you shelve them? They aren't showing on the spreadsheet yet. Nevermind! They are there now.

35559 Battleship Update!
Need to complete (18 hours remaining)
1 non-fiction (NancyHelen?)
1 book rated between 3.51-3.99 (Have Louise's in reserve if needed, but would like one that doesn't fit the 10 shelf criteria instead)

Anything you are currently reading will need to be finished before the deadline, as it won't carry over to Olympics. Let's finish strong!

35559 Sally, here's the official timer for the start of Olympics. There's a 12 hour break between Battleship and Olympics for teams to rest.

35559 Berit, I have Boy Meets Boy if you want to read yours after Stacie's, then I can quickly knock out Dead Man's Folly to finish the first leg if no one else has a short dead title.

I'm flexible, and I can devote my entire Saturday to reading but it will take planning. I can do about 75-100 pages per hour so we are looking at a full day of reading to get it done. Whatever I don't finish I can hopefully do Sunday before work.

35559 Building off Stacie's murder titles:
Lady of Ashes
Lady of Milkweed Manor

Or
Sweet Evil
Sweet Surrender

If anyone has a title the starts with those words I can step in after Stacie.

35559 I'm cool with whatever, but I will need to choose carefully if I do all three legs. I am off Saturday so I can for sure knock out at least one book that day, and probably 2 if they are short, but if you want the third one done quickly maybe someone else can do the third.
