I can read three Cat Who books on my day off tomorrow to finish this card if no one else has an animal book on deck.

No worries, Berit! We leveled up our weapon to 5 and we finally defeated a monster. We are on the board with new tasks!

Read a book with an animal on the cover.
Read a book with an animal in the title.
Read a book with an animal or child plays is a major part of the plot of the story.

I will hit again. I just healed us.

Shelby, either way is fine. Both of our books are #1 in series and would fit for the hot category.

I can do the hot book and switch it over. It is a first in series but it is also set in Tombstone, so we can use it for that.

If Berit covers set in summer and a good summer movie, and I do the hot setting, we still need:
* Read a book with flowers on their cover to make a bouquet (Sally?)
* Read a book with a beach picture on the cover or book with beach related object on cover. (Louise)

Really going to need some of your RPG veterans to help me out here. I need some advice on how to proceed.

We really really need to get that quest completed. The other teams are quickly leveling up and we can't compete until we get moving. If you all want me to discard cards I can, but we have to read those quests to gain any ground.

The problem (I think) is we can discard but we won't get another card to replace it right away, and I don't know if it's guaranteed that we get a quest card. I would hate to discard one monster card just to get a harder one.

Let me look at the rules another time to see.

I am a little fuzzy on the monster cards, too, Berit. I did a test run with Tea to see if our spreadsheet was working and we got knocked out immediately. I think if we complete the quest cards as quickly as possible as well as continue to level up our weapon we can gain the levels to fight those monsters.

I used that for level 4. You are all set!

I had added only the series books we hadn't used yet to our planning sheet. If you can add only the ones you are planning to read/currently reading, we won't accidentally try to use a book twice. Sorry I wasn't clear! I will go back and take off the already used books so you can all see what is left.

Go ahead and fill in where you can so we know what needs completed. Series on tab 1, quests on tab 2 (I'll add as we go to help plan)

We need the series reads to level up our weapon. And we need some volunteers to read the tasks on our quest card.

* Read a book that takes place in summer
* Read a book with a beach picture on the cover or book with beach related object on cover.
* Read something hot (steamy book topic, set in a hot climate or even a bestseller)
* Read a book that has been made into a summer movie or it would be great summer movie.

It looks like once we gain a level we keep it for the weapons! I'm working but I'll get us an update tonight. I was confused this morning with the sheet but Tea got me straightened out.

Good morning, Mammoths! I am trying to get us all sorted out before work, but I need to head out in a minute.

So far we have a level three weapon. Keep reading those lower series #s for us. I need some #2 and #3 to keep rolling.

I will exchange all of our banked books for gold as I watch the Cubs game tonight. :)

No worries, Lisa! Kirby, I panicked when you disappeared from our spreadsheet but it was something with your shelf name for Wobble. We were able to get it all sorted out.

Keep cranking out those low numbers, team. We are going to need lots of them!

Yes, definitely! I think we can use it. And some of our series books I'm sure will work for the tasks, so if you all want to start some series reads we will cross our fingers and hope it all fits somewhere.

Anything you finish this weekend will count for the final event.
