Alright, no problem !
Thanks :)

Sammy wrote: "HALLELUJAH! I finally finished Parade's End. What a boring, boring, boring slog of a book that was.I've been finding some absolutely amazing reads making my way through the "1001 ..."
I watched the BBC mini series adaptation with Benedict Cumberbatch. It was very boring as well. A true waste of time... So I can't even imagine how boring the book must be.
Eldarwen wrote: "Right??And I was doing so well.. I had finally gotten my TBR under 600 (barely but still) and now it's 610 again..."
Compared to my TBR this still looks like a reasonable number. lol
Eldarwen wrote: "And I added the book to my TBR, which is growing again... oops!"It's kind of ironic that we participate in these challenges to knock off some books out of our TBR, but all end up adding just more and more because of each others recommendations. haha
Sammy wrote: "I'm with you Claire. it's kinda hard to improve on perfection..."
Thank you for illustrating my point ;) lol
I'm currently reading The Weight of It All by NR Walker. A MM romance which has been on my TBR for years. And the main character describes his love interest as "He looks like Chris Hemsworth! Just better." and I seriously struggle to imagine someone better than Chris Hemsworth. I don't see any way Chris Hemsworth could be improved. lol

Cool ! I thought about volunteering, but didn't want to do DQ twice in a row... I'm glad Hector got a spot though !

Oh no ! Bad luck. Are they feeling okay?
On my side I finished The Eye of the World late in the evening yesterday. I liked it quite a bit, and while I will not jump immediately into book 2, I'm really looking forward to continue this series. Right now I started Temple of the Winds. It is time I continue with the Sword of Truth, and see what's going on with Richard. ;) I heard this one is a bit cray cray. Curious to see why people are saying that.
Eldarwen wrote: "I finished the BOM last night and wow am I glad I didn't read this at work. I did tear up quite a bit! Not good for when sneakily reading at work haha.I enjoyed it :-)"
That's what I did yesterday, and I was so glad I was teleworking. hahaha
Sammy wrote: "woohoo! One of the books I'm currently reading works for the poetry quote task!I'm really enjoying both books I'm on at the moment. May or may not finish The Pillars of the Earth this..."
Hey Sammy, I'm sure your son will be fine in Brussels. But if you worry I can always give you my phone number in case they'd need help with something.

Sigh... Some people just keep associating cats with evil...
My boss is on leave so work is really quiet, and I decided to finish The Travelling Cat Chronicles and damn I'm happy to work from home today... 😢 But it was a beautiful story.

I'm also going to finish the BOM tonight. And I've made good progress with The Eye of the World as well. I'm hoping to finish it either tonight or tomorrow. We'll see. But I'm really enjoying it so far.

My other cat though... Let me tell you my siamese is nothing next to Hermyne the Maincoon. If I'm not up at 6:30 in the morning she will scream her lungs out until I come out of my bedroom. WITHOUT A BREAK whether I wake up at 6:30 or 9:00 or later. She will not shut up... Maincoons are so needy!
