My dad is quite ill from it, but not too bad that we have to bring him to the hospital. So that's already something. My mom on the other hand, is ok. She coughs a lot, and has lost her sense of smell. But besides that she's fine. Luckily.
Hey guys, Sorry I haven’t ben active these last few days. My parents got the Covid so I had to take in my little sister before she caught it as well. It was a whole organization… and it left me with no time to read at all…
Anyone else noticed how similar all the covers look in the romance category? Personally I'm not a of this cover style. It doesn't make me want to read them. And I like romance.
I've read a grand total of 5 books nominated so far... I've not been on the top of my game with new releases this year ^^'
I don't think I'll be able to finish Jane Eyre this week. I tend to read classics really slowly... sorry. But I'll try my best to finish Empire of the Vampire, and we'll see for Bayou Moon. I'll keep you posted.
Hi Danielle, I'm having a good weekend. I've spent a lot of time with my family, which was nice. And yourself?
I didn't manage to read a lot this week. I was very busy with work during the week, and couldn't catch up this weekend :( I'll try to read more this week.
I'm nearly done with Before They Are Hanged, I should be done with it before the deadline. But as I thought I will not be able to finish Bone Crier's Dawn so I'll move it to round 2
I finished Lover Avenged earlier :) It was a chuncky one, so lots of points. Now I'll concentrate on my other planned book Before They Are Hanged.I've also started Bone Crier's Dawn earlier in the week. I'll try to finish that one as well, but no promises
For my part, the two books I have marked as planned in the spreadsheet should be finished by the end of the round. I'll do my best in any case.

Took the kids and pup on an unexpectedly long walk-3 hours wasn't the initial plan, but a good time was had"
Hey Cat ! I had a good weekend so far. Yesterday I spent the day with my sister, done a little shopping, which was nice. Today I pretty much spent the day binging tv... I wanted to read the whole day, but I guess my brain wanted me to take a break and just watch mindless mediocre tv. haha
Tati wrote: "Finished There with You, moved on to Defy the Night"How did you like Defy the Night? I've recently bought that book and I'm curious to see what you think about it.
Personally I liked Ready Player One, but I agree that it's a bit overhyped. Ready Player Two on the other hand, I've heard so many negative opinion; that it ruins book one and that it's just a cashgrap playing on the first book's success. You'd have to pay me to read it 😅

Yeaaaah !!! I really need to get on those books I started. I want to start this challenge with a clean currently reading shelf!

This is exactly why I'm afraid to even start on Moby Dick
