I am actually surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I was a bit wary going in because a lot of people have said that it's racist and doesn't hold up to present day scrutiny. That being said, I enjoyed my experience reading this behemoth. It took me exactly a month to finish lol! I did find that it was a bit longer than it needed to be and it dragged a few times. I'm glad I've finally read it! I've been meaning to for years now.
