Not officially - I've seen bits and pieces when they have been on the TV, but I haven't sat and watched a whole. I guess I should!

This book took me longer to finish than the others - it didn't hold my attention like the first three. It did get better towards the end.

Some of my musings

I thought it was hilarious in the train going how everyone hexed Malfoy and his cronies at the same time
I'm so frustrated about Cornelius Fudge's refusal to believe Volemort is back
I wonder about what Harry thought was a smile from Dumbledore when he learned Voldemort used some of Harry's blood to return to his body
It was soooo sad when Cedric died - I did not expect that!
I'm glad Hagrid patched things up with Madam Maxime
And I'm glad that Harry is starting to realize he has a real family in the Weasley's!

I've finished the book, but a couple of things that were bit surprises. Winky (view spoiler)[ and her relationship to the younger Crouch (hide spoiler)]

And the house elves in general (view spoiler)[ and how Hermione's campaign just kinda fizzled out - there was some talk about it and then nothing .... what was the point? (hide spoiler)]

Professor Moody - I thought he was great too! And I was sure surprised!!!

I didn't catch the bit about the Beauxbaton horses - that's pretty funny!

There are plenty of times that Harry is like a regular kid and engrossed in himself, but when push comes to shove (view spoiler)[ he acts more on instinct and does the right or heroic thing. Like in task 2 - everyone kept telling him it was stupid to think Dumbledore would put the others at risk, but it's not in his nature to leave something like that to chance. (hide spoiler)]

So wow - what a giant soap opera we have here!! So many secrets, plotting and planning and intrigue!

I've read through Bran (Chapter 8) and it is so (view spoiler)[ heartbreaking what happens to him. And so evil! I was really surprised to read the scene between Cierce and Jamie! I'm also sad that Lord Stark has to leave his family to work for the King. (hide spoiler)]

I'm done too! And I loved the end as well, Karen! Although I suspected that (view spoiler)[Maximillian and Julie would be reunited, it was so nice to see if realized. I also loved how the Count finally "saw" Haydee! And, yes, the last line was great! (hide spoiler)]

I'm so glad I read this book. I think I mentioned before that I struggle with the classics and the language, but this one was so much fun and interesting. I listened to the audio by John Lee and he was a terrific narrator!

I've been reading HP#4 for quite awhile now! I'm having a harder time getting into this one for some reason. My goal is to finish it by tomorrow, though, before quidditch starts.
