35559 I'm in the minority - I read mostly romance and I have no idea how they come up with the books in that category. I think it's just a big marketing ploy by Amazon!

35559 I just finished my last in-progress book and I'm glad I don't have to wait to long to start a new one. Just enough time to get the vacuuming done and some laundry thrown in the washer!

35559 Yes!!!!

I'm going to start with The Removers A Memoir by Andrew Meredith for "Word as Genre" - it's got our alternate word, vegetable, on the first page of shelves/tags. I was able to get it through Overdrive!

Don't feel inadequate Elizabeth!!!! The teams are make up of players with varied levels of books per month (which is why there is that question on the sign-up form.)

35559 Geri wrote: "I have a question too. After we complete our word and get completion points, do we need to complete the word again completely to get more points? Or do we get points for the other letters, even if ..."

We get more points for spelling out the word again. We only get bonus points once per week (completing the spell-out, word in title, word on cover, word in genre) but we do get page points for spelling out the word again. We can only get points on one unfinished word at a time. For instance:

JACKOLANTERN - done = points for each letter plus any bonus points
JACKOLANT - points for letters used
JALA - no points since the prior word is not completed

I hope this makes sense - if not let me know and I'll try explaining another way (and don't worry if it doesn't make sense - there have been lots of questions about this in the captain's group.)
