So what's everyone doing this last weekend before WAT starts? And who got their mega millions tickets?
I don't have any plans. Just stuff around the house and reading. It's really warm here - in the high 80's, so I hope I can get outside for a bit.

I agree Brooke - the beard and longer hair is what I like best on him. And, since we have a few fans here, I made myself search for a few more....

I know! The pictures I found online don't do him justice from that scene which is why I didn't use it. Sorry!!!

To tide you over Brooke...

I went to see A Star is Born yesterday. I did think it was great, but not like everyone is raving about. Of course, Bradley Cooper is hot, hot, hot in the movie and he can sing! And Lady Gaga was amazing. I wasn't crazy about the cinematography (lots of lights from their shows and blurry scenes) and the story felt like it skipped over a lot - I guess a lot of fast forwarding in time and there were things I would have liked to know more about. But over all I do recommend it!

It's from The Nightmare Before Christmas and the little dog/ghost (not sure what he is) is Zero, who our team is named after. :-)

How is everyone's weekend going? We had a bunch of rain (well, for southern CA) Friday night and this morning, so it was a good day to stay home and read. Tomorrow it's my nephew's birthday, so I get to spend a few hours at Dave & Busters with a bunch of 7-8 year olds!

FYI, the other November BOM is

I've signed up for DQ's for the November BOM

I've completed my yearly reading challenge - I've read more than I expected to this year (thanks TT!) and upped it once. I may do it again.
My favorite books this year are
which I read as a buddy read for TT. I primarily read romance novels and I just can't usually get into the classics, but this was one great! I also loved
and
. Oh and
which was recommended by Laura!
I've been burned with new releases I've waited for this year - there were a few that really disappointed me. Right now I'm waiting for
, but it's been delayed several times so I'm scared it's not going to be as good as the rest of the series.
I don't watch too much TV - I do have it on in the background when I'm reading at night, but mostly I watch the news. My favorite program is The Voice, and I love Jeopardy. I'll watch the LA Kings play sometimes. Other occasional programs are Dr Pimple Popper on TLC, Expedition Unknown and Impractical Jokers.

I'm on Team Zero and would like to write DQ's

Hi Brooke!
Here are the rules for the spell-it-out:
Spell out the word(s) using the first letter in the book's title, the first letter in the author's first or last name, or the first letter of a character's first, last, or nick-name, or the first letter of the series name. As always, if the first letter of a title starts with an indefinite or definite article ('A', 'An', 'The', etc.), you may use the first letter of the second word in the title to spell out your chosen word. If you are listening to an audiobook, the first letter in the narrator's first or last name also can be used. We're also allowing for Translators names, as long as the edition you are reading is a translation version.
I'm hoping to see A Star Is Born later this week - the trailers look so good!!

Hi Alissa and Zee!!

Hi MH!
Have a great Thanksgiving weekend, Laura! Does anyone else have any fun plans? I'm just reading and cleaning. My dogs (I have two Golden Retrievers) are going to the groomer today, so it means I have to wash the floors. Thank goodness for audiobooks!!!

Hi Megan and Elizabeth!

Hi Geri!

Hi everyone! I'm Sandy and I'm from the Los Angeles area. Laura and I were on the same team for Tower Teams and she's awesome! I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone else.
