I've got a couple of books that I've completed. My modem went out, so I've spent the morning on the phone with the provider and then I had to go pick up a new modem. I'm all good now, thank goodness. I guess that was the sign I wasn't supposed to spend too much time on Cyber Monday shopping, right?

I'm not going to get my last book (Bright Side) done so I'll move it over to next week's sheet.

To see if specific words are in a book, you can pull the book up on Amazon and click on the paperback or hardcover edition. Along the left side is a little box that says "Search Inside This Book" and you can type the word you're looking for in the box. If it's there, then a list will pop up with the page number and a snippet of the sentence it's in - you can click on it and it will take you to that page. It doesn't work on kindle or ebooks unfortunately.

You can also search on Google Books, but I don't think it's as easy.

I don't think this book will work for the challenge - when there is an anthology and the books included are published separately then they need to meet the minimum page count and be posted individually. I check on two of them and both are under 100 pages. (Unless the rules have changed - Laura can confirm or deny! :-))

There are restrictions on cookbooks:
◈ Books must be 160 pages or more in length. Children's books, Graphic Novels, Scriptplays (movie and theater), Cookbooks and Poetry books cannot be used unless by word count they can be verified (by arbookfind.com) as more than 40,000 words. If not on arbookfind, check audible for an audio version of longer than 4 hours for the book to be valid.

I found a couple of books on Overdrive that I can get -
