Garland isn't good for Oliver. I think he wants her to be good for him but she just isn't. I do hope that he finds his way back and gets in with good people.
11.) Zoey. This girl breaks my heart. Her coming to realize and possibly accept she was a child no one really wanted. I mean he dad didn't even go to her high school graduation. WTF? Do you think you could do what she's doing and with the attitude she has, if you were her?
I think she is doing the best she could with crappy circumstances. I am amazed at her strength to just keep going. I would think I could do that but at the same time, I'm not sure if I could.
12.) Pidgeon has been disappearing for longer periods of time. Any thoughts on what's going on there? Are you enjoying the woo-woo ghosty elements?
I like the ghost elements but am trying to figure them out. I think Pidgeon comes out when Zoey needs Pidgeon.
13.) We have much more of Mac's story now. Was any part of his story surprising to you?
Nope, I figured he had some sort of sadness happen in his life to continue on with the characters.

6. A second ghost! Who appears to be tied to being a ghost because of Mac , and seems like she'd rather leave. Do you think that's true, or is she staying because she wants to? How does Camille's experience compare to Lisbeth's?
I think she's staying because she wants to. I haven't figured out her reasoning yet but I think she could leave if she wanted to. I think they are total opposites. I'm liking the different personalities.
7. We meet Oliver. What do you think of him and his situation and decisions?
I'm glad Oliver got away from his past. I think it's hard for him to make his own decisions given his past. I don't think Garland is a good person for him to be around though.
8. Roscoe Avanger - any thoughts about him and his control over the Dellawisp? Lizbeth highlighted some passages from his book (chap 9). What do you think of the selection, and what, if any, relevance do you see with the wider story we are reading ?
I'm doing audio so it's harder for me to see the highlighted sections. I think Roscoe is trying to help people the only way he can.
9. There are a lot of difficult parent/child relationships so far, but only one sibling. why do you think we haven't heard from Lucy yet?
I think that it's to keep us waiting and have our brains twist around about what is going on with Lucy. I think the entire book is made up of people coming together to get past difficult past histories. I've never read this author before so I'm unsure where this book will go.

1. Have you ever read any books by this author before? What drew you to read this book?
No, I hadn't heard this author before. I'm reading it for BOM. :)
2. How does the book’s setting on an island influence the story so far? Would you want to visit?
I don't know if the island helps but the condo complex is interesting. I would be curious and want to visit to see what it's all about.
3. What do you think of the use of ghosts as a narrative strategy, in general and in this book?
I've liked the ghost so far but I'm curious to see how the ghost narrative keeps going in the story.
4. Do you have a favorite character yet? Why?
I don't have a favorite yet but I'm trying to listen to section at a time and answer my questions without having to go back. I think if I had to pick, I like Zoey so far.
5. Finally do any of the marshmellow food items sound worth eating or do they seem a bit much? Does where you live have any famous food items?
Nope, I'm not a huge marshmellow fan. I live in Bourbon country now so I would say anything Bourbon is big. Back home in Alabama, would be white bbq sauce especially on chicken stuffed in a loaded baked potato.
