I'm going to answer the questions right now. We fly out tomorrow until Wednesday and I won't have computer access but I'll still read some and then when I come home on Wednesday night I'll get everything updated.
This series also works for X. https://www.goodreads.com/series/1120...I read one of those series books for another challenge awhile ago and have it always available for weird x things.
I finished a 500 page book and let me go get a couple others added to the spreadsheet. I'll take a look at the tasks for June to see what I can plan in advance. I have a few books that I'm going to need to knock out before the end of the month that will help with this month.
I just dumped 10 books in there and I'll look for a couple 500 page books to see if I can knock them out before the end of the month.
Yay for 3 day weekends! That's why we are traveling because of the holiday weekend but after this month, we won't be traveling for a bit. I blew the vacation fund pretty hard for these few months so I have to save back up so we can travel again.
Thanks! I wanted to get a good page count book in and that one worked for a few things. I may tackle some more of them this summer. I have books to add to the spreadsheet and I'm pretty sure that I'll have even more to add before the month is out. The next two weeks are a tad work, traveling, and a lot of fun. We are going home to Bama to catch the Dodgers/Braves game that I'm excited to go to. Then we come back to work for a day before heading to Boston for a few days with family to catch a Red Sox game with the nephews and just to hang out. I'll have time to read while traveling in the car/airplanes and when I'm still here. Any particular page points we need in those 62 books? I also have to get my BOM questions caught up and this new one, eehhh, I'm not a fan of and still haven't read it but I think I'm going to kick it to audio and power through. Now, what do we do about those chipmunks?! I may be guilty because I listen to books with chipmunk speed in the car.
So, I tried to read a bit the other night but realized quickly that I was going to have to chunk that book out in sections and I needed something really good to read in between so my goal is to work on it this weekend.
I have faith that we will catch up. I know that I have some more books to add but I'll do that this weekend. I've already read one of next month's BOM's but I'll read the other one. I can work on finding some color books for some of my books later this month.
Well my Braves did well until our lovely bullpen came into the game. Sheesh! On the other hand, I love baseball and respect all teams even though I’m Braves loyal and Bassitt pitched one amazing game last night. It’s not easy to shut the Braves down right now especially with bases loaded.
I would never wish no internet on a business in today's time. This has to have been the longest week ever. I didn't even know how much I would resent that telephone so much until this week! Flintstones and the dinosaur book sounds like a fun combination. You definitely need some wine. I'm watching my Braves trying to beat these Blue Jays and I found a nice little glass of bourbon to sip after the crazies this week.
I'm not sure if this is the case this time or not but I've been on tower teams before where we just didn't update as fast as others. It didn't mean that we were not keeping up with everyone else, it just meant we updated differently. I know that I usually update in a chunk on the weekends just due to real life craziness. We had no internet/email at work this week and it was a long week so I just dumped like 6 books in there. My POV is read what you want to read and the "magicians" will put them places. :)

DQ Day 2Chapters 9 - 15
6. We meet the 3rd member of the band, the wizard Moog. What are your impressions of the wizard? Were you as surprised as Clay that he agreed to go right away?
I think he needed something to do and was like oh let's go with them and see what we can get into. He's kind of quirky and I think I'm going to like him.
7. That was some entrance to the palace, don't you think? What were your first impressions of Matrick? Were you surprised by the turn of events in chapter 11? Excited or worried when Moog announces that he had a plan?
I was a little surprised in Ch. 11 but also have come to learn that this book has little twists in it at random times. I liked Matrick. I was a little worried with Moog's plan but was curious to see how everything was going to shake out.
8. After several descriptions sprinkled thoughout the story thus far, we finally meet a druin. What do you think his plan is? Why does he really want the Council to stand down?
I don't know what his overall plan is and am curious to see how this goes.
9. Were you surprised at how Lillian arranged the funeral? What did you think of Clay's contribution? How successful would you rate Moog's plan?
I think it was her job to arrange the funeral but I don't like her. I liked how Clay's storyline was written. I think Moog had a good plan.
10. Gabriel borrows Moog's crystal ball to check on his daughter. Were you surprised at what he saw? What did you think of the band's reaction?
I wasn't surprised and the band reacted like I thought they would. I'm curious to see how the rest of the storyline plays out.

DQs Day 1Ch 1 to CH 8
1.) What do you think of the premise of the book, like an aging rock band getting back together to go on tour but an adventuring band instead? Is the author pulling it off so far?
I thought it was at first going to be music related but realized it was not. I think the author is doing a good job in giving the back history and letting us know what's going on.
2.) The rocks, may of hit me a bit in the feels. Did it affect your opinion of Gabe at all?
I think it showed Gabe really does love his daughter and wants to try to do everything to get to her and show that. He's still a little bit of a hot mess but his heart means well in this case.
3.) How do you like the world building, is it being done effectively for you without major info dumping? Is it helping to set the stage for the story?
I think it's helping to set the stage. I'm interested to see what's going to happen next.
4.) What did you think about the parade? Did anyone else enjoy Clay's reaction to the ladies being whistled at and be disappointed when the lady blew a kiss back instead of skewering the guy (like Clay expected to happen)?
I liked the parade but I also wanted to seem some skewering happen.
5.) Do you have a favorite character so far?
The glimpses I saw of Tally, I really like her and want to read more about her but I also like Clay too.
Bonus: Taking a poll for a very important question. On the Tassel Farm: Centaur or Moose?
Centaur because it feels more relevant to the story than a Moose does.
I'm over here catching up reading this weekend. I live in Kentucky Derby world so tonight we have plans to hang out with friends, watch the 2 minute race, and eat and drink all the things. I have a couple long books picked out to read. If 11/22/63 wins, which it has a nice lead, it will work as a book over 600 pages. I've read that one already but if it does get picked then I'm planning on reading Obama's book which also works. I wanted to put that out there for those that are doing the BOM's and like to plan ahead. I can't plan too far ahead because for some reason I get myself in all these crazy reading challenges but I do like to have a little bit of an idea of what's going on. I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only one in this boat.
I will take one of the 600 page books. I'll work on finding one this weekend and put it on the spreadsheet.
I just added start dates for you. My inbox keeps saying 6 new messages every day so the site is definitely glitchy.
Happy Anniversary! I've read 11/22/63 awhile ago but I haven't read the other one. I have plans to catch up on the BOM tonight, watch some Braves baseball and go to bed early. My husband works 6 days a week and he's on nights tonight so just my dog, Trooper and I chilling. Sometimes after work, I just like some quiet time.
I also voted the Obama book but I've read The Last Thing He Told Me. I'm already behind on the BOM so I'm going to try to read yesterday, answer questions, read today, and then answer questions. I had to finish up a couple books yesterday for something else.
I put a few of my books on there and the page numbers are a little lower than what I typically knock out but I need to get a couple of those books read this week and then can get some chunkier books going.

I've played with a few of you on various teams and excited to meet some new friends. I've ..."I'm catching up everything today! I'm excited to be on the same team as you too. We do need to talk about those sports teams though. My uncle went to Ohio State so I can tolerate that one but Tennessee is a different story, lol.
As for speed listening, I'm in the car for up to 2 hours a day with commutes to work so I get a lot of books done in the car. I have had to turn down audio in my car at traffic lights depending on what book I'm listening to. I've worked my way up to chipmunk levels as my husband calls them and can't listen to anything slower.
I just got the first BOM from the e-library and I have the second one on waitlist. This month is lucky that I haven't read either one of them. I'm going to try to keep up with the chapters on question days but sometimes that works and sometimes I get way behind.
