If I hold off finishing the City book until July 1, will I still be able to get the bonus points for us? The other books I have are not that big of page numbers.
Oh no! So sorry to hear about the hospital trend. I hope everyone makes it out okay even the really sick ones. I also joined way too many challenges and am now trying desperately to catch some up and see if I can finish a couple because I got myself in others. I've got the City of Brass on audio for my commutes this week so I can get it done and out of the way. I also have a few other books that I need to finish before the weekend. We had some pretty rough storms roll through but no damage which was good.

DQs Day 1, Ch 1-51. This book begins in 18th century Cairo, with France and Turkey fighting over Egypt. I have never encountered this conflict in fiction before. Have you? Were you familiar with it before you started reading?
I had no idea about this conflict before I started listening to this book. I'm slowly beginning to like history a little more especially when I travel.
2. Nahri has several mysterious powers, including healing, the ability to sense illness in others, and the ability to understand and speak every language she hears. Which of her powers would you like for yourself?
I would like the ability to sense illness in others. I think this would be a pretty cool gift to have.
3. What do you think of the world building so far? Do you find it confusing, or do you feel like you’re along for the ride?
I think it's a touch confusing but I'm sure it will add more to the story as we go along.
4. So far we’ve met 3 significant players in this book: Nahri, Ali, and Dara. Do you have a favorite character so far, or one who intrigues you the most?
I don't have a favorite character yet. I like Nahri the most but I wouldn't say favorite.
I just finished the X author book. I had plans to finish it last night but this weather had a migraine brewing so I went to bed early. I went to Dallas last week for a conference but we were on the outside of town. It was super hot but we went to the Texas Rangers baseball stadium and it was really nice. I loved that it was indoor because Atlanta's stadium gets steamy in the summer time.

I also noticed another boo..."Yeah, I thought that was being saved for the page count. I looked at the one below it The Drifter unless it was already used for something and I just didn't catch that when I was looking at the spreadsheet. My eyes are a little tired from work today so I may have messed that up.
If we rearranged a couple things, the Dark Matter book could be banked for 10 letters and then we could use The Drifter to clear the MPG adventure task. I also noticed another book but it was over 500 pages and I know that's something we are working to keep. I'll have the X author done tonight.
I'll take the author name with X. I have a random book that I just found that works for some of those gazillionish challenges that I joined so I can read it for multiple things. I'll probably finish it tomorrow. Yeah it's a bad idea to check work on vacation. You probably need a spiked Starbucks.
I’m on my phone at the moment and can’t see all the posts but my book Hot Pursuit was number 11 in the series so it can be ready as a banked book. I’ll definitely finish the few books that I have in the spreadsheet and I’ll have a few more read before the end of the month. I’m also over here trying to catch up my challenges.
If shapeshifter is a superpower, you could take my rainbow book and get a new task and I can try later this week to get another dark blue book in that spot. I'll have my gymnastics book done in about an hour or so.
You're welcome and when I was checking it looks like the wheelchair book might be Maybe in Another Life. I will have that gymnastics book finished tonight as long as we still need it. :)
I'm having internet problems at work so it may not have saved. I just tried it again so hopefully it went through this time.
I changed the page count. Yeah, murder would be easier. I can see how miscommunication would be seen in many different ways considering the perspective. I can probably find a book this week that would make that much clearer for everyone to see.
Bernadette wrote: "I read You Will Know Me 3 years ago and it will fill the gymnast task. It was pretty good.I can do a re-read if no one else wants to read it or has another book."
I can read this one this week so you don't have to do a re-read unless you want to do one.
I also will get my 400 books and a few more read this week. I have nothing else planned other than work for the rest of the month so I'm hoping to get some things caught up and help with some more tasks.
Okay, I just got back from my vacation and I did finish a book that works for I think works for miscommunication but I think that I need some advice on it. I finished Tell No One while I was gone. It would work for murder but also so many details were miscommunicated in the book and all sorts of little things were not clear at times. Has anyone else read it and think the same thing? It is also on a best twist list and a few other good lists.
Bout to go see the Rangers play and knock off another baseball park. I know I have some 400-499 books lined up. I’m on my phone until Sunday night but I’ll have some downtime each night to read and on the plane going back.
I may have one banked for hat if we didn't use The Trouble For Whiskey for something. I can't remember if we used that for something. I'll also be out of town from tonight until Sunday night for a conference. I'm not planning on taking my laptop with me to save space bc I'm doing carry-on only but I'll have my iPad and my phone. I know that I'll have some downtime to read at night and traveling.
I finished that X author book last night. The page count is not great but I didn't realize it when I picked it out. I have several 400-600 page books that I'm planning on knocking out the rest of the month to make up for some of my piddly little page count books the past week.
