35559 Hi Kirby, welcome to the team!

Btw, the Wheelathon is slowly approaching and meanwhile the rules have been posted (here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...).

Keep up the good work Mammoths

35559 Thank you for the story Shelby! I loved it and yep, that's us Mammoths, stomping and crushing around :)

35559 @ Elsbeth: I can imagine! I couldn't excercise or do any extreme activity in this weather. A lot of courage to those participating.
Yes, you're right, finally summer is here :)

@ Megan: Haha yes, I tried to stealthily sneak in your thread but who am I kidding. We mammoths have huge bodies difficult to hide and to maneuver sometimes ;-)
Thank you, you as well, doing great!

Hi Shannon, thank you for the picture, it's pretty refreshing, all that ice! :p
Yes, our mentor Tea, *whispers* you're right to be on your guard, she's probably scheming somewhere :) *looks left and right* The official version will be that you never saw a mammoth, right ;)

@ M: A lot of strenght to you and your brother. Hope for a speedy recovery

35559 Hi Green Dragons! A Mellow Mammoth coming through :p

*waves at Elsbeth* I'm really glad to see you in this group and on the challenge ;) Hope you're enjoying it. Hopefully it's not too warm as well in Nijmegen ☀ :-)

I really like to participate to BOM's discussion and questions, but I'm facing a dilemma here. I'm going on vacation starting this weekend to Wales - Brecon Beacons to go hiking (I will be back on the 1st of August). Of course I'm going to take my ereader with me :) Unfortunately I don't think I'm going to be able to make it after I finish my current book :/ But it's a good idea from the mods, I hope they keep it ;)

35559 Berit, a lot of strenght to you and your daughter. I hope it gets solved quickly.

35559 Good evening Mellow Mammoths!

Our heatwave officially started and I'm also officially melting. I can't even enjoy ice cream properly, it's gone all over my hands. Today was the hottest day for us with 33°C (91 F), might be the norm elsewhere but here it's exceptional :p

(view spoiler)

Tomorrow it's the national holiday in Belgium so I'm free from work and will have more reading time. I will try to finish my page jumping book then.

35559 It sounds so exciting, Shelby. Rest well!

Thanks for the update Greta! It's much clearer now.

I wasn't in the mood for Sorcerer to the Crown yesterday (after reading some reviews) so I started Fire Touched instead (giant dog on the cover). I hope to finish my book this evening or tomorrow at the latest. I can fit in a last book for Olympics, I'm planning to read Dead in the Water next

35559 Good evening Mammoths! I've just finished a book with 214 pages, it might be used for page jumping. I will start my animal on cover book tomorrow.

@Berit: the two tasks for bonuses left open are 'write a story' and 'suggest a challenge'. I presume the mods want us to create a reading challenge here (individual?).

35559 Before starting my last committed book, I'm reading A Fatal Thaw (Kate Shugak #2) by Dana Stabenow which has 250 pages (ebook edition), we might use it for the bonus round of page jumping.

Hope you had a nice and relaxing holiday Lisa!

Did anyone feel this book wasn't as good as others in the series? I had a tough time with it :-("

Greta, I remember quite some readers having issues with book 6 (I think because of the drama). I actually really liked it, there's a lot going on and although there are some sad passages, I've been introduced to some great new characters, my favourite being Desandra.
My favourite KD books are book 3 until book 7. I wasn't a big fan of the last one though but still the book I'm most looking forward to this year is Magic Binds :-)

35559 Stacie, do we have to complete all those tasks to get a bonus or only 1 of the tasks?

35559 Awesome Shelby! Go go team :)

I finished my chariot book: Would-Be Witch and with that I think I've read my least favourite book for this challenge. Didn't like the writing and especially not the main characters.

I'm going to check out the open spots, I might squeeze in another book before I read my last committed one

35559 I finished Deeply, Desperately on 09/07 for the letter L. I'm still looking for a book with a MC who's 16 years old, might have to turn to YA books

35559 I've finished my book for page jumping, I'm going to read my 12 letter book Would-Be Witch tomorrow. It's almost midnight here so time to tuck myself in bed, since it's warm I've put the window open in my bedroom & I can hear the trees rustling from the wind. I'm enjoying it so much
